Henry, furious and humiliated, whipped Violet hard with his belt, venting all his rage on her

He didn’t stop until she was unconscious.

He ordered the servants, “Lock this bitch in the storage room. No one opens the door unless I say so!”

That night, a servant snuck Violet out of the storage room. “Mr. Quinn didn’t come home tonight. Better get out of here fast.”

Andrea grinned, “Mom, you always come through for me. I knew the universe wouldn’t screw me over.”

Violet gritted her teeth through the pain and urged Andrea.

“All the money I’ve squirreled away with Henry over the years is sitting in an offshore account. We leave tonight. Once we’re out of the country, I’ll set you up with a whole new identity. No way the police will ever track you down.”

Violet grabbed Andrea’s hand, ready to bolt, but Andrea suddenly froze.

Andrea thought, ‘Even if Violet got tens of millions stashed overseas, how long could I really blow through that?

‘I’m the only one left from Astrid’s youngest son. No way they’d just leave me for dead!

Seeing Andrea hesitate, Violet quickly urged her. “Andrea, you killed Laura. That’s a capital crime. The police are hunting you down everywhere. If you don’t leave now, it’ll be too late!”

Violet felt her palms start to sweat in panic. “Andrea, don’t do anything dumb right now. The Quinn family’s servant told me Astrid went to the Tranquility Chapel first thing this morning.

The Jordan family just held a press conference to publicly cut you off. If you go looking for them now, you’d be handing yourself over on a silver platter!”

Tranquility Chapel, Andrea thought.

Suddenly, inspiration hit her. “Mom, the Tranquility Chapel is just nearby. Let’s go find Astrid there!”

Afraid of getting caught, they spent the whole day hiding out in the woods, only sneaking into the temple once it was dark.

Violet felt a wave of anxiety. “Andrea, please, just listen to me. We need to get out of here now. Let’s not go looking for Astrid.”

Andrea refused to back down. “Mom, it’s a chapel. Of course, it’s quiet, and there’s hardly anyone around Don’t freak yourself out. Once I see Grandma and get the cash, we’ll be out of here in no time.”

As soon as Andrea heard there was money waiting for her, she got all excited.
