Sandy didn’t hesitate. “Juliana, whatever you do, don’t ask for the money. The moment you do, it’s really over.”
Juliana’s voice was thick with tears, her eyes red and puffy. “I don’t want a divorce. I didn’t marry him for his money—I couldn’t care less about that. Sandy, please, tell me what to do so I don’t lose him.”
Sandy feigned innocence. “Are you sure your husband’s cheating?”
“He definitely is! Why else would he suddenly want a divorce?” Juliana snapped, her voice shaky with anger. “That woman—she’s just after the Stranz fortune, wrecking someone else’s marriage. I know exactly what kind of person she is.”
Juliana kept ranting about the “other woman,” completely unaware that the person she was cursing was Sandy herself. Each insult stung, but Sandy hid it well.
“Juliana, your husband cheating is on you,” Sandy replied coolly. “Even if it wasn’t her, it would be someone else. The real problem is you. If you’d just listened to me in the first place, none of this would’ve happened.”
Truth was, Sandy hadn’t even been interested in Scott at first. It was Juliana who kept bragging about him—his family, his looks, his background. And with Juliana being so clueless, Sandy eventually changed her mind.
“So what am I supposed to do now?” Juliana was desperate. “I even agreed to let him have a kid with someone else. What now, Sandy? Give me something to go on.”
She was clearly at the end of her rope.
Sandy replied offhandedly, “Honestly, your best move right now is to do nothing. Don’t piss him off any more. Maybe get your in-laws to talk to him—your family isn’t exactly low-status, and nobody’s parents actually want a divorce.”
Of course, Sandy was setting her up. She wanted Juliana to go to Salstrom Manor and make a scene. If she did, she’d be done for—no money, and Mrs. Goad would hate her even more.
Juliana, as naïve as ever, bought it. “Alright, I’ll go now. Sandy, thank you.”
Sandy felt a thrill of satisfaction. Watching someone dance right into her trap was a high like no other.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Bond Between Us (Anastasia and Herman)
Author pls Pls don't separate Ana and Herman once again because of Sandy. There must be an ending to Ana's sufferings!...
Yes yes yes!!! Thank you!!!...
How comes the twists are becoming uninteresting and unrealistic? Readers will prefer cleaner straight happy endings. Please don't go far beyond otherwise readers will lose interest. Time to end the story like we want it to be....
Please give us a happy ending for Anastasia and Herman with Pattie recognized as Herman's daughter, thank you!!!...
