"He's never shown up?" Kieran asked.
"Yeah." Another colleague chimed in, "That's why a lot of us think Ms. Rodriguez is probably already divorced. I mean, it's been more than half a year, and she hasn't even mentioned him once."
"Exactly."
That actually made sense.
If Celeste weren't divorced, would Caleb dare to pursue her so publicly?
Still, Kieran couldn't calm down. It had never crossed his mind that Celeste had already been married.
As he sat there in a daze, Celeste walked over and asked, "What's wrong?"
He wanted to ask, "Is it true that you're married?"
But this was the workplace, and asking personal questions like that—especially of a superior—wasn't appropriate. It might be alright once in a while, but any more would be crossing a line.
Snapping back to reality, he just said, "It's nothing."
…
That afternoon, Celeste received a phone call.
After hanging up, before the end of the workday, she told Matthias, "I might only come in tomorrow afternoon. Can you attend the morning meeting in my place?"
"Of course." Then he asked, "Did something come up?"
"My mother's going to the hospital for some health checks. I want to go with her."
Matthias wasn't aware of Isabelle's worsening condition. He thought it was just a routine check-up. So, he said, "Alright. Go ahead. I'll take care of things here."
Celeste nodded and left the company.
…
The next day, Celeste, Betty, and Adeline all arrived early at the hospital.
Even at the hospital, they had to keep a distance, afraid Isabelle might spot them.
During the checkups, Isabelle would become inexplicably agitated, struggling wildly like a madwoman. It often took multiple medical staff to hold her down to get through each procedure.
"Mom, why are you at the hospital too? Are you sick?"
"No, I'm not sick." Celeste touched her forehead. "Do you have a fever?"
"I had a fever last night, but it's gone now." Then, without waiting for Celeste to respond, Jordyn hugged her even tighter and glanced toward the approaching Trevor.
She pouted. "Last night I wanted to call you and ask you to accompany me, but Dad said you were busy."
Celeste didn't look at Trevor.
"I'm indeed busy. But I'm glad your fever's gone." She paused, then asked, "Why come to the hospital, though? What about the family doctor?"
For minor illnesses, there was usually no need to bring Jordyn to the hospital.
At that moment, Trevor spoke up, "We came for a full health check-up."
Celeste heard this but didn't ask why they needed it.
Jordyn clung to her and said excitedly, "Mom, I don't have to go to school today. Can I go with you to visit Granny?"

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
Another saviour debt?? Seriously?...
I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
My fav novel post us more chap per day...
