Celeste said, "I have to go to work now. Your granny isn't feeling well these days and needs rest. Once she's feeling better, you can go visit her."
Although Betty had never truly blamed Jordyn for being close to Wynn, ever since learning that Isabelle's health had also started deteriorating, it felt like half her spirit had been drained.
If she were to see Jordyn now and be reminded of how close she had gotten to Wynn, it would probably only worsen her mood.
When Jordyn heard that Betty was sick, she looked genuinely concerned. "Huh? Granny is sick? Is it serious? Mom, why didn't you tell me?"
Celeste paused for two seconds before replying, "I didn't want you to worry, that's why I didn't tell you."
She then gently pried off Jordyn's hands, which were wrapped around her. "It's getting late. I have other things to take care of. You need to take good care of yourself."
Jordyn didn't want her to go, but seeing how busy Celeste seemed, she reluctantly let go. But as soon as she did, she felt upset again.
"Mom, why are you so busy all the time now? You're even busier than Dad. When will you have time for me?"
"I'm not sure either."
As she said that, Celeste remembered that the divorce was about to be finalized. She thought it was time to stop hiding it from Jordyn. However…
If Trevor intended to marry Wynn after the divorce, he'd surely find a way to tell Jordyn himself.
So there was no need for her to bring it up directly.
Jordyn looked down sadly. "...Alright. Mom, you always say that lately."
Celeste knew that too. It was the best excuse she could give.
With that, she said again, "I'm leaving now."
"Okay."
So, Celeste left.
Jordyn watched her mother's retreating figure, unwilling to look away.
Only after Celeste had disappeared into the distance did Wynn finally walk over and ruffle Jordyn's hair.
Then she turned to Trevor, who hadn't said much the whole time, and said, "It's getting late. Let's go eat."
Trevor said, "Alright."
It was then that Jordyn looked away and said listlessly to Trevor, "Dad, I want to eat at home."
Trevor replied, "Alright, then we'll eat at home."
With that, the three of them left the hospital together.

This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
