The next morning, Celeste drove back to YodaVision after dropping Jordyn off at school.
She had already met with two heads of companies working on autonomous vehicles through Matthias previously. But after speaking with them, she felt neither was a good fit.
To find a more suitable partner, she and Matthias attended a cocktail party that evening.
They arrived fairly early and chatted with a few people.
Before long, they spotted Trevor and Wynn.
Celeste and Matthias quickly looked away.
Perhaps their reaction was too obvious, but Trevor and Wynn made no move to come greet them either.
A little while later, Jorge and Xavier arrived as well.
Upon seeing the two pairs—Trevor and Wynn, and Celeste with Matthias—Jorge first walked over to Celeste's side and greeted them.
"Mr. Yoder, Ms. Rodriguez, long time no see."
It had been a while since they'd last seen Jorge. Celeste and Matthias both nodded politely, but their expressions remained indifferent.
They still didn't care much for Jorge.
Sensing this, Jorge didn't push his luck. After the brief greeting, he went over to Trevor and Wynn. "Mr. Fleming, Ms. Locket."
Trevor gave a slight nod. Wynn turned around, smiled faintly upon seeing him, and said, "Ah, it's you, Mr. Robinson. It's been a while."
Jorge looked at her. "Indeed."
Though reluctant, he averted his gaze. Seeing that the two were in a serious conversation with someone, he didn't interrupt further.
After greeting them, he turned and walked away.
Even though Celeste and Matthias had come with a clear goal in mind, they were constantly being approached by others trying to network, so they were kept fairly busy throughout the event.
Trevor and Wynn were no exception.
In the past, whenever Wynn accompanied Trevor to events like this, she was clearly just a companion. None of the industry bigwigs actually took her seriously.
Seriously?
Still, both his childhood friend and Trevor were obviously completely captivated by Wynn, both willing to give her everything without hesitation. He couldn't relate, but he didn't want to rain on his friend's parade either.
But, he couldn't help but comment, "Financial freedom really is something else. You can spend it on whoever you want, whenever you want. No one can stop you. Honestly, I'm a little jealous of Trevor for that."
Jorge cut in coldly, "If you had financial freedom, you'd probably blow through all your money in under a year."
Xavier was speechless.
Meanwhile, Celeste and Matthias had also noticed how people's attitudes toward Wynn had shifted.
During conversations, some even joked that Trevor was being incredibly generous—dropping billions for a beauty without batting an eye.
Wynn, for her part, was actually paying quite a bit of attention to Celeste and Matthias.
However, since so many people kept coming over to greet them, she hadn't yet figured out what exactly they were here at the party for.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
