Lilian guessed that aside from being shaken by Celeste's dazzling performance today, something else must have happened.
She asked, "At the launch event, how did Trevor act toward Celeste?"
Wynn lowered her eyes. "He admired her."
Lilian's expression gradually darkened.
In the past, Trevor had always ignored Celeste. In his eyes, she was worthless. He had never once shown any admiration for her.

"The technology Celeste talked about at the event—do you think it really came from her?"
Though she hadn't interacted with Trevor much, from what her daughter had said, she knew that he understood technology himself and had always held deep respect for technical experts.
So, if Celeste truly had that kind of ability, it wouldn't be surprising for Trevor to change his stance and start admiring her.
Before Wynn could respond, Linda blurted out, "Of course, it's not hers! She's just an undergrad—how could she have that kind of capability? It must be Matthias—"
But before she could finish, Wynn said, "It probably is hers."
Linda's eyes widened in shock. "How is that possible? How could she—?"
But the fact was, Celeste had skipped three grades and entered university early—at Aurelia University, the top-ranked university in the country.
Although Linda herself had also skipped grades and gone to a well-known university, it still wasn't on par with Aurelia University.
In other words, Celeste had the foundation for academic research if she had wanted to pursue it.
So, even if it was hard to admit, Wynn couldn't deny the possibility that both Celeste's paper and the technologies she presented today might really be her own work.
After sending Linda out of the room, Lilian said gently, "Even if Celeste really is that capable, you and Trevor have such a deep bond. It's not something that can be easily shaken.
"Besides, you have your own strengths too. So, Wynn, don't worry too much."
Could she not worry?
Wynn said nothing.
Even though Trevor had seemed calm after the launch event and treated her as kindly as always, could he really be as unaffected by Celeste as he appeared?
She couldn't help but think of how, not long ago, Trevor had gone out of his way to collect the research papers Celeste had recommended while giving technical lectures to Fleming Group's engineers.
That thought felt like a thorn in her throat.
If he truly was as calm as he seemed, then why had he not once mentioned anything about the launch event after it ended?

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
