After her secretary left, Wynn's mood grew heavier and heavier.
Technology was the foundation of a company's growth.
With Velotra's brilliant performance ahead of them, InnovaTech would need another major technological breakthrough to gain a foothold in the autonomous vehicle market.
But achieving a breakthrough in technology was incredibly difficult.
So far, she had already invested six to seven hundred million dollars into InnovaTech. But now that Velotra had disrupted the market, InnovaTech's future was uncertain.
If she continued to invest and InnovaTech failed to make a breakthrough with real impact, it would be the same as throwing away all the money.
Yet, she was unwilling to give up now. So... Should she move forward or retreat?
Thinking of this, she thought of Trevor. But even he couldn't guarantee whether the company could achieve a breakthrough in the future, could he?

Wynn sat there deep in thought for a long time.
It wasn't until her secretary knocked again that she realized it was already noon.
Her secretary asked, "Ms. Locket, would you like me to arrange lunch for you?"
Wynn glanced at her phone but said nothing.
She was sure Trevor understood the extent of the impact Velotra would have on InnovaTech even more clearly than she did.
And based on what she knew of him, he probably had already predicted how the attitudes of Leroy and the other potential partner, Steven Watts, had changed toward InnovaTech.
Now was exactly the time when she needed him most. But since dinner with Leroy the day before, he hadn't contacted her at all.
Thinking back to how he had looked at Celeste during the launch event—so focused, as if he had completely forgotten her existence—her heart clenched painfully.
So maybe he, like her, had yet to recover from the shock brought by Celeste's dazzling performance at the launch.

Celeste had been busy for most of the day.
At around five in the evening, her phone rang. It was a call from Jordyn.
She glanced at the screen and answered, "Jo, what's the matter?"
"Mom, our school is going on summer break soon. There's a parent-teacher meeting tomorrow. Can you attend it?"
Tilda and Donna were both surprised to see Celeste personally attending the meeting.
After all, ever since the last parent-child event, it was usually Trevor who came with Jordyn.
Donna greeted her, "Hello, Ms. Rodriguez. Long time no see."
"Long time no see," Celeste replied.
After the greeting, Donna began chatting with Celeste about Jordyn's performance at school recently.
From the teacher's words, Celeste learned that Jordyn had been quite happy both at home and at school, which meant Trevor had indeed been attentive to her.
During the parent-teacher meeting, Jordyn held Celeste's hand and said sweetly, "Mom, it's been so long since we had a meal together outside. Can we go out for lunch after this?"
Celeste agreed, "Sure."
However, after the meeting ended, when Celeste was walking out of the school holding Jordyn's hand, she saw Trevor stepping out of his car.
Jordyn didn't look surprised at all. Instead, she happily said, "Dad, you're here!"
Only after glancing at Celeste did Trevor respond with a hum.

I just need an effing glimpse to what goes around in Trevor's mind. Author - do something about it please There is not even a single mention about what Trevor really wants - interested in Celeste? If yes, then why there is no reaction on seeing people courting Celeste...
I love the story bt really death slow... Y cant you post 5 to 10 chapters per day????...
This reads like a daily diary account...and not a story with a planned plotline. Author, we would share if you took the time to start developing the story, rather than dragging it out with outlines. no depth, no character development, not even the overused tropes are present, just a daily itinerary. We want you to do well..but you have to put the work in making it a viable story...
The storyline is moving painfully slow.. Will we ever get to hear Trevor's side of story? Currently the mixed signals from Trevor are just confusing and frustrating. He is using Jordyn to postpone the divorce and side by side ignoring Wynn to the level that he didnt invite her to the Fleming group banquet. But when asked about clarifying divorce to Jordyn, he is not doing so. Awfully frustrating...
Team beck or Caleb. Trevor has wynn saved his contact as 'babe', kissing her in office and spending nights with her. How in initial chapters Trevor pushed jordyn towards wynn without caring about a mother's feelings. Now he is two timing, suddenly interested in Celeste after knowing background and leaving wynnn behind. Spineless man. He knows cels history with her father, still chose to support them. I don't how people are rooting for cel and Trevor. I wish truth comes out. Cel deserves someone who loves her with whole heart. She thrives in her field. Beck saw cel when she was not famous. But Caleb is good option too. I hope Celeste grows spine starts to demand explaination for dragging divorce....
Author - dont you think the story has been dragged as is? Now, you want to include the angle of Wynn being pregnant as well? God, i really want to know Trevor side of story, why is he playing both sides?...
Are they going to compromise for Jordyns sake? I'll be sad for Celeste if that happens. Why is author giving mixed signals in almost every alternate chapter? Initially Trevor and Wynn were always appearing together along with huge PDA, then Trevor seems involved with Celeste - when she was under alcohol influence, then Trevor seemed to be ignoring Wynn - all the while divorce proceedings are still on and now Jordyn is getting depressed because of their situation. Feels like we are just roaming around the bush or the author is making us do that. Sigh!!...
I don't understand where this story is headed to.. I can't seem to know what Trevor is thinking, in late 500 chapters, he was seen dodging the divorce, ignoring Wynn and now at 624, he is planning on how to tell Jordyn about the divorce. This is messed up!...
