On the other side, Wynn said, "Mom, here's the invitation you wanted."
"Great. Thank Trevor for me," Lilian said as she put the invitation into her bag. "Tomorrow, are you going to the auction house with us, or is Trevor picking you up?"
Wynn replied, "Neither of us is going tomorrow."
Lilian paused. "Alright."
…
On the evening of the auction, Celeste arrived at the venue with her aunt, Adeline.
At the ticket check, Celeste spotted Lilian and Lennox ahead of them.
Lilian and Lennox also saw them. When she noticed Celeste, Lilian frowned slightly.
This auction had extremely high starting prices, so the invited guests were top-tier elites and wealthy individuals from around the world.
Ordinary rich families couldn't even get an invitation.
If it weren't for Trevor, Lilian wouldn't have gotten one either.
But Celeste—
Well, given how popular Matthias was right now, and her relationship with him, it wouldn't be difficult for him to secure an invitation for her.
Thinking that, Lilian and Lennox averted their gazes.
Since their invitations had been secured through Trevor, their seats were close to the front. Coincidentally, Celeste and Adeline were seated right next to them.
Just as Celeste and Adeline sat down, Miles also entered the venue.
He was surprised to see Celeste there. But then he noticed who was sitting beside her—Lilian.
He let out a quiet "uhh..." This... this was an absolute top-tier battlefield.
After sitting down with his female companion, he hurriedly sent a message to Trevor.
"Celeste is at the diamond auction too... and she's sitting right next to your future mother-in-law!"
Trevor replied quickly. "Okay."
And that was it. There was no follow-up. He didn't seem to care at all.
Miles was dumbfounded. He glanced again toward Celeste and Lilian.
It was just then that Celeste noticed him.
When the diamond was presented, gasps of awe erupted from the crowd of diamond enthusiasts.
Even though Celeste wasn't particularly into diamonds, she was still struck by the brilliance and sheer quality of the rare gem on display.
As for Lilian—though she'd seen and owned many high-end jewels over the years, this was her first time seeing a diamond of this quality.
A self-proclaimed diamond fanatic, she was so awestruck she couldn't even speak. From the moment the diamond was revealed, she couldn't take her eyes off it.
Amid the crowd's amazement, the host announced the starting bid—400 million.
As soon as the words left the host's mouth, numerous paddles were raised.
Celeste was one of them.
Sitting right beside her, Lilian saw her raise the paddle clearly.
Though she had noticed Celeste earlier, Lilian had assumed she was just there to join the spectacle. After all, rare diamonds were worth admiring even if you couldn't afford them.
She never expected—
Seeing Celeste raise her paddle, a flash of surprise crossed Lilian's eyes. She finally tore her gaze away from the diamond.
Just then, Celeste spoke up, "500 million."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
ok im done im not reading this trash anymore its repetitive celeste finally speaks and its less than 5 words.this isn't good at all and now we're getting the netizens pov but not hers. EVERYBODY HAS AN OPINION EXCEPT HER AND TREVOR...
I’m not liking where this is headed.. I’m getting the sense that the author is following the revenging husband storyline and Trevor did all this just to avenge his wife...
Isn't this a company that Celeste and Matthias work for? This will be a fatal blow to those scoundrels....
I'm so excited for tomorrow! I wonder what happened to Jo... What is the story behind that court summons?...
A court summons? Oh my God, what happened?...
Here we go again…drip-drop. One page a day instead of the promised 5 Chapters and even that stops suddenly so we never know if the story will advance. I swear this author is writing the new page on their lunch break and laughing at us when we get frustrated....
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
