When Celeste stepped into the conference hall, the first person she saw was Beck. And his seat just happened to be right beside hers.
When he saw her, Beck smiled. "Morning."
Celeste nodded. "Morning."
"I watched your press conference the other day too. Congratulations."
"Thank you."
Just then, Wynn and Jorge also walked into the hall.
Beck, of course, knew today was Wynn's birthday—he and Miles had already wished her a happy birthday in the group chat right after midnight.
But now that she was here in person, and Wynn had also seen him, he stood up and said, "Happy birthday."
Compared to the past, Wynn felt that this wish from Beck carried much less sincerity, and more of a polite, obligatory tone.
She glanced at Celeste sitting next to him, and her reply was just as cold. "Thank you."
Then, in the same tone, she added, "The meeting's about to start. I'll go sit over there."
Beck nodded. "Alright."
He then gave Jorge a small nod as a greeting.
Jorge's seat was also in the front row, but not as central.
Seeing everyone seated in the first row, while her own seat was...
Wynn checked and found hers was all the way in the second-to-last row. Her steps paused for a moment, but soon she composed herself and walked calmly to her seat.
The meeting began quickly.
Throughout the meeting, YodaVision was repeatedly praised by the government, stealing the spotlight once again.
Hearing YodaVision mentioned over and over, the business representatives around Wynn were filled with envy.
"YodaVision is incredible. They're all so young, and they've already achieved things we couldn't reach even in a lifetime. Honestly, comparing yourself to others is just torture."
"Exactly."
Listening to them, Wynn looked toward where Celeste was seated, but all she saw were rows of people's backs—completely blocking her view.
It felt like Celeste had pulled far, far ahead of her.
Besides, Trevor had prepared an insanely expensive diamond. If he guessed correctly, Trevor was planning to propose to Wynn tonight.
It meant they were getting married soon.
Thinking of that, he couldn't hold back and asked, "It's your birthday today. Since we bumped into each other, do you have plans later? If not, let me treat you to dinner?"
Wynn smiled slightly. "Thank you, Mr. Robinson, but I already have plans."
"No problem, next time then."
As he spoke, he noticed Wynn glancing toward the front, and then he realised she was looking at Beck and Celeste.
They were chatting with the officials who had attended the meeting.
After a moment, their conversation finished, and the two of them left the hall together.
Seeing this, Jorge frowned.
Weren't Beck and Wynn on pretty good terms? Then why did Beck not even stop by to say a quick word and instead leave immediately when they ran into each other here?
And also... Wasn't Beck being a little too attentive toward Celeste?

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
I don't really understand the writer. Why are Trevor and Celeste silent now? Isn't it about them?...
Who the helly is georgette 😆...
Alas..the truth that has been buried since…is prevailing....
I just love how tables have turned....
About time… now where’s Trevor, Harvey’s and the others public shame???...
After this moment, the day of the downfall of the Shaw and Lockett families began....
