When Jorge thought of the seemingly distant Beck, he looked at Wynn and was just about to say something when her phone suddenly rang.
Wynn apologized to him, then picked up the call. "Hello?"
It was Linda.
She sounded extremely excited. "Wynn! We just heard that Trev spent over four billion buying a diamond a few days ago! Is he planning to use that diamond to propose to you tonight on your birthday?"
Wynn froze, her heart skipping a beat. Her steps stopped.
Seeing her expression change, Jorge immediately asked with concern, "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
"It's nothing." Wynn came back to herself, though her heart was still racing from what Linda said.
Then, she asked Linda on the phone, "When... When did this happen? Linda, how did you find out?"
"We just heard it too! When Trev bought the diamond, someone I know happened to be there. It's over four billion! A diamond at that level is basically priceless! Wynn, Trev actually spent that much money to propose to you— he treats you so well!" Linda said, still thrilled.
Before Wynn could speak, Lilian, who received the news later than the others and saw Linda already calling her cousin, frowned. "Linda, why did you tell Wynn directly? If you say it now, how will there be any surprises tonight?"
Only then did Linda realize, and she immediately regretted it. "Sorry, Wynn, I... I just got too excited. I didn't think—"
Lilian said, "Alright. I just mentioned it in passing. Wynn probably won't mind anyway."
What's said was said; apologizing now was meaningless.
But then again, even though he was affected by Celeste for a while, he still took the initiative to contact her to discuss divorce.
Thinking about that, Wynn suddenly felt... Maybe it was completely logical for him to propose now.
So yes— even though Linda spoiled the surprise a bit by telling her early, it didn't actually diminish her joy or anticipation.
Neither the Lockets nor the Shaws expected Trevor to propose this soon.
Especially since he was not officially divorced yet.
But with only half a month left before the divorce was finalized, and considering how long he and Wynn had been waiting... Even though the divorce wasn't done yet, proposing to her on her birthday felt completely normal.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Breaking Point of Love (Celeste and Trevor)
I feel like reading the novel from everyone else's perspective, but the main characters. There has never been a glimpse on Trevor's side of thoughts or intentions. He feels like a ghost in this whole storyline. Although i am glad that Mathias revealed the truth about Celeste, but it still feels empty without main character's thoughts or feelings or voices being shared....
Wynn's reputation is over. I read all these chapters for this moment... I'm really glad that Matthias finally said everything at once. All thanks to the fool Quinton...
So we're going to keep going in circles atp, nothing was revealed that we didn't already know,I mean I would've at least liked to see Trevor's reaction to finding out his wife is the co-owner and coder to CUAP,find out who drugged them.Whats happening with the military blacksite, how come Celeste is so quiet she never stands up for herself. All we're getting is reaction's from side character's who don't matter...
Yes.. I'm looking forward to the upcoming chapters......
I don't really understand the writer. Why are Trevor and Celeste silent now? Isn't it about them?...
Who the helly is georgette 😆...
Alas..the truth that has been buried since…is prevailing....
I just love how tables have turned....
About time… now where’s Trevor, Harvey’s and the others public shame???...
After this moment, the day of the downfall of the Shaw and Lockett families began....
