Narcissa's expression darkened at Celeste's words.
But her company matter was urgent, so she still had to find a way to resolve it.
She contacted Wynn. "She refuses to budge. I want to find someone to mediate between us. Who can I ask for help?"
Wynn paused before replying, "Honestly, there probably isn't anyone."
"Not a single person?"
"Her relationship with people on our side has never been good. And besides, this matter involves me. Even if someone tried persuading her, the chances of her agreeing are still pretty low."
But Narcissa disagreed. She said, "Even if she and Matthias are close, and even if she's calling the shots at YodaVision now, this is still a massive project. If YodaVision works with us, they'll make a huge profit.
"I think YodaVision definitely wants this partnership. Celeste saying she won't cooperate is probably just her trying to vent her anger.
"The only reason I'm lowering myself to ask her right now is that the situation is urgent and can't be delayed. As long as we find a way to let her vent that anger, she'll probably agree eventually.
"Besides, she's not married to Matthias. Their relationship isn't deeply tied up. So, I doubt Matthias would agree if she rejects such a valuable project purely out of anger."
When she first contacted Matthias, he had indeed stood on Celeste's side and told her to speak to Celeste directly.
In Narcissa's view, that simply meant Matthias was letting Celeste vent her anger over what had happened previously. It didn't mean that Matthias would truly be willing to give up such a lucrative project.
Wynn lowered her eyes after hearing that. "That… may not necessarily be true."
"Then, what if I contact Matthias's parents?"
Even if they could accept her, would they really just stand by and let Celeste affect their son's business purely because of personal grudges?
Wynn paused before answering honestly, "I'm afraid it probably wouldn't help much."
After all, Celeste and Matthias weren't actually the couple everyone assumed them to be. And Matthias's parents seemed to like Celeste very much.

I think there wont be a closure anytime soon, with the speed with which the story is flowing. New characters are being introduced, sides and opinions are being formed blindly - yet no one is ever discussing anything with each other. This is by far the most frustrating novel i have read and yet, come back for an update in a hope that there may be something in reader's favor now. Sigh! There is nothing. If author doesn't want to take Celeste Trevor route, then let Celeste move on like Trevor has. Enough with this beating around the bush....

I can't even believe there are almost 800 chapters and absolutely no story line advances. Basically Trevor is absolute trash and deserves to be mocked and scorned because of his cheating nature, bringing his mistress around like he's single and flaunting the billions he spends on her as if he is not already married for 7 years. Celeste deserves everyone to know her story and be free of this loser....

Why am i reading this novel still? In what hope, seriously? To have Trevor regret his choices? To get some clarity or closure on so many gaps this novel offers? To have Shaws & Lockets ever face repercussions? To get clarity on Celeste's mother life? Because seriously, 720+ chapters gone by and from last 350 chapter - there has been no significant progress, the story has been playing around in loops. This is just sad...
