The Coma Prince’s Fiancée novel Chapter 183

Her music had been the catalyst that revived his desperate will to live.

And now, hearing "Soul of the Night" again, he felt a familiar wave of healing wash over him. Everyone around him was constantly celebrating his survival, but no one understood the suffocating helplessness he harbored inside. He loathed his useless legs. He hated being confined to a wheelchair. Yet, staring into the relieved eyes of his loved ones, he could never voice that resentment. He had to bury it deep.

He thought no one in the world would ever understand him.

But Stella did.

He had tried investigating her background in the past, but his extensive resources turned up absolutely nothing. He didn't even know if Stella was a man or a woman.

Back at Vantage Point University.

Having just finished his brief exchange with Susan, Wade Lane was trying his hardest to maintain a stern, authoritative posture to keep his lips from curving into a proud smirk. That's right—he was the lucky bastard everyone was jealous of.

His gaze shifted to Gavin, who was currently frozen like a stone statue. His eyes iced over. "Gavin. Do you still want to argue your case?"

The crushing reality of his monumental screw-up finally crashed down on Gavin. He had thought that since the song was obscure and the cameras hadn't caught him physically copying Garnett's notes, he could walk away as a celebrated genius. He never imagined he had just kicked a hornet's nest.

This wasn't his ticket to glory; this was his death sentence!

"President," he stammered, looking up in sheer panic, his voice trembling. "I admit I made a mistake this time. But Garnett baited me! He deliberately set me up to ruin my life and get me expelled! He intentionally told everyone he left his sheet music in the classroom to lure me in."

Garnett seized the opening with surgical precision. "So you admit that not only did you steal my sheet music, but you also transcribed a copy on the spot to avoid the security cameras?"

Gavin had only wanted to twist the narrative to make himself the victim. He hadn't realized that in his panic, he had just confessed to the exact crime.

"Gavin, shut your mouth!"

"Watch your tone! You have no right to question the president's integrity!"

The teachers erupted in furious reprimands.

Down in the lobby, the students gasped collectively. Sure, they gossiped in private, but no one had the guts to blatantly accuse the president of favoritism to his face. Was Gavin completely out of his mind? Was he trying to get blacklisted from the entire city?

But Gavin was too far gone to care. The teachers' scolding only fueled his rage.

"Am I wrong?! Fine, I fell for Garnett's trap today, but I wasn't lying about before! Rebecca copied me! A trash-tier dropout like her should be burning incense in gratitude just for getting accepted here. But she's too arrogant! Boasting she could take first place? I want to see how she spectacularly crashes and burns!"
