The Devil's Betrothed novel Chapter 821

Chapter 821: Fight With Zaria

"Your death, probably," Morpheus said, his tone angry.

"Oh, the previous commander of Agartha. You and your temper haven’t changed even a little," Zaria chuckled, "But I would like to see it changed when I let you see your sister and your nephew. That young eagle has a truly powerful divine blood, even stronger than his mother."

Morpheus was about to say more, but Evanthe held his hand to stop him and stepped ahead to talk. "Zaria, we are here to talk so we can solve the situation."

Zaria chuckled. "My dear Evanthe. Why do you want to be a god for everyone? Always ready to make a deal. But...are you even in a position now? I am the ruler here and no one makes a deal with me," Zaria declared. "I only pass orders and decide the destinies of others. And trust me, I have planned the best ones for you arrogant ones."

Evanthe kept her calm. "I can see who’s truly arrogant here, Zaria. I advise you to not let this power get into your head and be rational. That way all of us can live in peace. There’s no need to fight over it."

"So you want to solve it through talk?" Zaria mocked, "Alright, then. As I am already a queen of this kingdom, I want all of you to submit to me. Be my loyal subjects, obey me, and dedicate your lives solely for me."

"You are being pathetically wishful," Morpheus said, "I would rather die than accept you as a queen."

Zaria looked at Evanthe, and mocked, "See the talk is already over."

"You can have this kingdom," Draven said, his tone serious, "But you can’t force anyone to accept you as your queen. Those who don’t want to, they will leave with us."

She laughed, "How naïve of you to think I want this throne alone. The sole purpose of sitting on this throne is to rule you all arrogant supernaturals who were cruel to us black witches. I want to make you all suffer the way we suffered. There is no freedom for you all unless I feel it’s enough," and her gaze turned dark, "And it would be never enough." Her laugh echoed in the throne hall. "All of you are going to submit to me."

"Don’t you think before that we will kill you?" Arlan said.

Zaria looked at him, "Oh! Prince of Griven, I almost forgot you are here as well," he smirked, "I must say your blood contributed to this victory of mine."

Arlan had once offered her his blood, and he could do nothing about it now. Back then, that was the only way he had. This black witch was one of the ways to solve his difficulties.

"Yes, but don’t think having my blood can make you invincible here," Arlan said, "Draven alone is enough to get rid of you, only if you know who he truly is."

"Some god maybe?" she said, "But I assure you, he can do nothing to me either." She turned to Draven, "You can try it."

If she was so confident, that meant she sure had something powerful in her hands. They couldn’t be in haste to tackle her. The lives of their people were on the line.

"I can see you all are in the mood of having a spar with me," she said and used her powers.

All of a sudden, that majestic throne hall was converted into an ancient-looking war site with ominous darkness everywhere, valleys and mountains surrounded in the distance. They were no longer standing on plain ground but on tall cliffs, with an endless valley between them and Zaria.

It was an illusion created by her. So powerful, yet not on the side of righteousness.

"She is not for peace," Evanthe commented. "The only way is to defeat her now."

"Defeat?" Morpheus said hatefully. "I wish to end it with her death. That’s the only way."

From the other side, Zaria smirked at them. "We’ll see who gets their death first."

"All of you stay back," Draven said. "I’ll handle her."

As he said that, the sword appeared in Draven’s hand. The sword of the God of War.

"You seem to have upgraded your power, Draven," Zaria mocked, but she didn’t show any sign of preparing to fight them.
