Seraphina's arrival instantly charged the atmosphere in the room.

Jasper stood up to welcome her. "Ms. Sinclair, what brings you here?"

"Am I not allowed?" Seraphina blinked innocently at Jasper. "I saw you guys talking in the group chat about a get-together tonight. I was starting to wonder if you all forgot I moved back to the country, since no one bothered to invite me."

Pausing slightly, she swept her gaze over the men in the room, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Don't tell me a few years abroad means we aren't friends anymore?"

At her words, the rest of the group quickly moved forward, crowding around her.

"Of course not!"

"You're always welcome! Come sit, Seraphina!"

"You actually showed up at the perfect time. Parker's wife is dragging him through a divorce. They say women understand women best, so help the guy out!"

"Alright then. Parker, let's hear it. Why does your wife want to divorce you?" Seraphina settled into the center seat, surrounded by the men. She casually tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her eyes intentionally drifting toward Maloney.

Maloney sat quietly in the corner, his long fingers resting loosely against his glass. He radiated an aura of unapproachable elegance, his brows slightly furrowed as he remained lost in his own thoughts, completely detached from the lively scene around him.

He was the only person in the room who hadn't stood up to greet her.

A flicker of annoyance crossed Seraphina's heart, but she didn't deliberately call out to him for attention.

She just went back to chatting with the other guys.

After listening to Parker's drunken rant, Seraphina let out a light scoff, waving her hand dismissively. "That's it? Cassidy wants to end a marriage over something so trivial?"

That was exactly what Parker wanted to hear.

He immediately started bragging. "Listen to her! Listen to what Seraphina is saying! What did I tell you guys? There's no way this is my fault!"

Seraphina laughed. "If you ask me, the passenger seat thing is just an excuse. She's probably divorcing you for a completely different reason."

"What reason?" Parker demanded, desperate for validation.

Seraphina looked Parker up and down, a teasing smirk playing on her lips. "Maybe you just can't satisfy her in bed?"
