Chapter 111: Claimed by the Dragon

EIRLYS’ POV

+25 Points

An aching silence stretched between us. His face gave nothing away, stoic and unreadable, save for the fleeting glint of silver in his blue eyes. My chest constricted with a single, harrowing thought: Had he changed his mind?

I took a small step back, ready to retreat, ready to leave this confession dangling in the air, when suddenly my feet left the floor.

“What-?” My gasp broke into a sharp cry as his hands clamped around my thighs, hauling me against him with a force that stole my breath. Instinct took over, my arms flew around his neck, my legs locking around his waist as my balance tipped!

He slammed the door shut with a force that made the walls echo, and before I could protest, our lips collided.

The kiss was sharp, demanding, and yet unbearably tender. I barely had time to register it before he began moving, carrying me deeper into his chambers. My heart hammered against my ribs as I clung to him, mind and body aflame with a mixture of shock, longing, and something far more primal that I hadn’t fully understood until this moment.

Even as my back hit the bed, neither of us pulled away. If anything, the kiss deepened, hungry and unyielding, as he shifted above me. My fingers tangled in his hair, tugging hard to keep him close, while his arms caged me in, drawing us impossibly hearer.

He coaxed my lips open, his tongue sliding against mine-claiming, exploring-and I answered without thought, a desperate response that tore a groan of approval from his throat.

He pulled his lips away, and the sudden absence made my heart ache. His mouth drifted along my cheek, grazing the edge of my jaw before trailing down the delicate line of my throat. A lingering kiss pressed into the hollow there, heat searing into my skin, and then he moved upward again, his breath ghosting against my ear.

“You have no idea what you’re doing to me, little star,” he rasped, his breath hot against my ear, each word grazing my skin. “I searched. I waited. I never thought I would find you.”

The rawness in his voice split me open. Tears pricked hot at my eyes. “And I… I never thought I’d have anything,” I whispered, my voice breaking. “Never freedom. Never anyone. Never you.”

The sob tore free, but he caught it-his lips brushing over my eyes, my cheeks, my nose, stealing every tear before it could fall. Then he silenced the sound with a fierce, aching kiss-quick, desperate-before his mouth trailed lower, searing a path down my throat, across the curve of my neck, until it lingered at the tender swell of my breast.

I drew in a sharp breath, anticipation flooding me, aching for his mouth on that part of me. But he stilled. His lips pressed once-reverent, trembling-before retreating, sliding back up until his forehead rested against mine.

The ragged edge of his breath, the iron-tight hold of his arms, the tremor in his chest-they all spoke louder than words: he was fighting himself, Holding to a line he hadn’t yet dared to cross.

With a low, strained sound, he rolled onto his side, pulling me flush against him. My cheek pressed to his chest, I could feel the fierce pulse of his heartbeat beneath my ear, every ragged breath

brushing my skin.

I dared to lift my eyes to his, voice trembling. “Why. why did you stop?” I whispered, the question

barely more than a sigh.

Kierygan cupped my cheek, holding my gaze with a heat that made my pulse race. “Little star… if 1 didn’t stop now, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself later,” he said, husky and low. “And you… you

wouldn’t be able to stop me either.”

I trailed my fingers over the hard planes of his chest. “I don’t want you to stop,” I murmured, nearly

pleading.

His hand slid from my cheek to the back of my head, fingers tangling in a fistful of my hair-firm,

commanding, enough to tilt my head, but gentle enough to keep me safe. “If we do this,” he said,

voice rough, “there’s no going back.”

“I know,” I said without hesitation. “But I want to belong to you. Fully. And you to me.”

His breath hitched, eyes darkening. “Don’t tell me I didn’t give you a chance to reconsider, Eirlys,” he

murmured, a low promise threading through his words. “Because when I claim you… thoroughly… I

will place my mark on you.”

I didn’t respond. Instead, I braced my elbow, tilting my head so my lips could find his, picking up

exactly where we’d left off. In a single, fluid motion, he rolled us over, pinning me beneath him. His hands captured mine above my head, fingers tangled with mine as his lips claimed mine again.

He pulled back just enough, then began trailing soft nips and teasing touches along my ear, my neck, across my chest-before stopping again, making me groan in frustration.

A low chuckle vibrated against my skin. “I never pegged you for an impatient type, Eirlys,” he murmured.

Then, without warning, a sharp ripping sound split the air, followed by a sudden breeze against my skin. My eyes flicked down-my nightdress lay in a crumpled heap on the floor.

I saw him swallow, his gaze roaming over my half-exposed body. His hand settled on my hip, tracing the curve upward, deliberately, until it reached my breast-and he cupped it, firm but measured. I arched as he began to fondle, heat unfurling in my belly.

Before I could even recover from the sensation, he lowered his head and took the other breast into his mouth, his tongue flicking and tracing circles against the tip.

I bit my lip, trying to stifle the embarrassing sounds spilling from me, but when he started to suck and graze his teeth, restraint became impossible.

“Oh, gods,” I rasped.

A low chuckle rumbled from Kierygan before he pulled away, his other hand taking up where his lips had left off. He looked down at me, his voice low and commanding. “There are no gods in this room, Eirlys. Just me. I don’t want you calling any other name but mine. Understand?”

The words caught in my throat. All I could do was nod, letting soft sounds escape instead. Thankfully, he didn’t demand that I speak them aloud.

A sharp squeal escaped me as he gripped my knees and pulled me to the edge of the bed effortlessly. I hadn’t even realized my undergarments were gone until the cool air brushed against my skin. He knelt down, placed my legs over his shoulders, before his head disappeared between my thighs.

The first brush of his tongue-warmer than before-ignited me, sparking a glow that pulsed from within. Kierygan let out a low, approving growl, pulling back just enough to meet my eyes. “That’s it … glow for me,” he murmured, his voice thick with desire.

I whimpered, and arched, and squirmed, but his strong hands gripped my legs firmly as he continued running his tongue across my folds. And when I felt it sliding inside me, all I could do was clutch the sheets, as if my very life-and my sanity-depended on it.

“Oh god-Kierygan,” I gasped, the words torn from me as something unfamiliar coiled tight in my stomach. Strange, yet exquisite.

He didn’t stop. I didn’t want him to. His pace only quickened, his fingers finding a spot so sensitive

between my thighs, it made my breath catch, my whole body arching toward him.

Then it came again-this fierce, overwhelming wave I couldn’t understand. My body trembled, then

shook, wild and beyond my control.

What’s happening? I wanted to ask, but the question dissolved on my tongue, lost in the helpless

cries spilling from my lips as I shattered-splintering into a thousand burning, blinding pieces.

Kierygan remained on his knees, his mouth continued to devour me as if I were a feast.

When my trembling finally eased and my breath steadied, only then did he pull back and rise. He

climbed over me, his shadow falling across my body as he hovered above.

“That was wonderful, my star,” he murmured, before his lips crashed into mine again, forcing me to taste the pleasure he’d just drawn from me. I melted beneath him, my body softening, yielding,
