Chapter 146 The Yapping Dog
“What I do is none of your business.
Margery’s voice was ice as she stared at Fidel. “Get out. Now. Don’t you dare try to come betweerr us again.”
“Me? Come between you?” Fidel pointed at himself, his handsome face twisting. “He’s the one who dumped you!”
His finger swung toward Stefan.
“Shut up!”
Margery’s voice cracked with fury, her whole body trembling. She turned to Stefan, desperate. “I swear, I didn’t know he was coming-”
Stefan barely glanced at them. Arms slung around the girls beside him, he eyed Fidel through half-lidded eyes. To him, Fidel was just a yapping dog putting on a show.
A clown like that? Not worth my time.
But pointing at me?
How dare he? Where did he get the nerve?
Before Stefan could react, Gavin was already moving.
“So you’re the pretty boy who messed things up between Stefan and his girl! You burst into my private room like you own the place? Looking for a beating?”
His fist connected with Fidel’s face. Then a kick sent him sprawling.
Stefan’s eyes lit up. High school flashbacks. Gavin had always been the one charging ahead in a fight-solidly built, with soccer player muscles. Fidel? He was too weak for this.
“You hit me?”
Fidel clutched his swelling face, glaring.
Gavin loomed over him. “You crashed my room. Who else am i supposed to hit?”
Stefan finally spoke, “Fidel, stop embarrassing yourself. Margery and I are done. If you want her, go for it. But keep your hands and your opinions out of my face. Understand?”
“No, Stefan-there’s nothing between us! I’ll never accept him. Never!” Margery’s voice was frantic.
