Chapter 147 Calling in Backup

Stefan glanced at her, his expression calm. “You don’t need to explain. I don’t care.”

“…”

Margery faltered, watching him with careful, desperate eyes. She’d never been this low, this humble.

Stefan didn’t notice. Or didn’t want to. He was too busy with the girls beside him-taughing, whispering, his fingers tearing and digging at the black stockings of the curvy one.

Even Gavin felt a pang of something. He opened his mouth, thought about saying something, then closed it.

Love was between two people. No room for outsiders.

The door crashed open again-this time kicked in.

A dozen thugs swaggered in, ugly and mean. Behind them, Fidel and his crew.

Gavin snapped, “Son of a-”

He was done. His door had been violated too many times tonight. He grabbed two bottles, ready to swing-then froze. Twelve men. His grip tightened.

Then he saw Fidel in the back, Rage flared. “You little prick! You called backup?”

“Still running your mouth with Colby here? Won’t be long before you’re crying.”

Fidel nodded toward the front, where a bald man in a loud floral shirt stood. Shirt unbuttoned, revealing a tiger tattoo on his chest. Mean eyes. A hard face.

Colby’s gaze swept the room.

“Someone started a fight on my turf?”

“Colby-those two.”

Fidel pointed at Gavin and Stefan, a smirk spreading across his face.

“Fidel, you bastard!” Margery’s face went pale. She spun on him. “You’re the one who barged in! You started this!”
