The Extraordinary Bride Of The Wyndham Family (Isla and Gabriel) novel Chapter 236

Gabriel and his family arrived at Isla’s favorite place just as the afternoon sun softened over the coast of Tropicana

Cuisine. The name alone was enough to put a smile on Isla’s face.

It was an upscale restaurant perched near the water, famous for serving the finest seafood on the island.

The scent of salt, citrus, and sizzling butter bloomed in the air, blending seamlessly with the distant sound of waves.

Gabriel knew this place well, not because it was fashionable or exclusive, but because Isla loved it and for Gabriel, that was reason enough.

Bringing his family here wasn’t merely about indulging in good food. It was about his wife.

It had something to do with watching the tension melt from her shoulders, seeing her eyes light up the moment she realized where they were. Gabriel would do anything to keep Isla smiling.

He had many plans lined up for the week ahead, carefully thought out, properly timed, but he hadn’t shared them yet. Not even with Isla. For now, this moment was enough.

The restaurant had been fully reserved and that included every table and corner. It was just them. The children rushed in first, their excitement barely contained. Any place that wasn’t home was an adventure to them, and Gabriel understood why.

Their lives weren’t Like those of ordinary children. Being the richest family in Richbouph came with invisible chains, constant security, limited freedom, and carefully controlled movements. Wandering freely was a luxury they didn’t have.

But here, for now, they were simply happy. While Isla and Gabriel reviewed the menu and placed their orders, Sabastian and Elara wandered about the restaurant, curiously surveying their surroundings. Their eyes took in the décor, the staff, the open cooking station and everything that was eye catching.

There was no cause for concern since bodyguards were discreetly positioned throughout the space, blending in.

And with Stone present, there was even less to worry about.

Stone had taken it upon himself to keep a close watch on the children. Aurelian, as always, stayed near him. He admired Stone’s calm confidence and straightforward nature, and the two shared an easy rapport.

As Isla and Gabriel laughed softly, lost in their own conversation, Stone and Aurelian spoke quietly as well, exchanging casual words without ever losing sight of Sabastian and Elara.

Gabriel had requested a particular chef for the occasion, and when the time came, the man stepped forward and greeted the family warmly.

That was when Sabastian and Elara finally settled down, sliding back into their seats with eager anticipation. The chef began to cook, the children were mesmerized.

They watched in fascination as he skillfully sliced fresh fish into perfect fillets, seasoned each piece with precision, and laid them aside. Their eyes widened when he lifted the largest lobster they had ever seen, its shell gleaming under the lights.

The chef moved with an elegant professionalism, displaying technique after technique, turning the cooking into a wild performance.

When the food was finally served, it arrived steaming and fragrant. A generous spread covered the table. There were mouth watering lobsters, grilled fish, prawns, and delicacies prepared to perfection.

It was a beautiful lunch, filled with laughter and satisfied sighs. The children ate with delight, savoring every bite.

But Gabriel knew this was only the beginning. “Who wants to know where we’re going next?” he asked, leaning back.

Elara’s hand shot up instantly, followed closely by Aurelian’s. Isla raised a brow, amused to see how invested the boy was. “Just tell us already,” Sabastian said impatiently, unable to sit still.

Gabriel smiled. “Next, we’re visiting your grandparents, Charles and Diana’s home.”

John broke the silence first. “I’m very sure we aren’t close anymore,” his voice was cold. “So what exactly are you doing here?”

Brian clasped his hands together, careful not to say the wrong thing even as he trembled. “We’re here to beg for your forgiveness, and nothing more. Please, forgive us.

Før everything. For all the problems we caused your family.”

John pushed himself to his feet. He stepped closer, his gaze moving from Brian to Rebecca, and finally to Delphine. They looked sober…broken in all honesty, but what they did was something that couldn’t be pushed aside.

Could he forgive the people who had been tied to his father’s murder? Even if he wanted to, he couldn’t.

If they hadn’t joined hands with Stephen, if they hadn’t helped tear his family apart, perhaps things might have been different.

Perhaps forgiveness would have been possible. But the past was difficult for him to bare and it was the one thing he couldn’t set aside. No apology could ever change that.”There’s nothing I can do,” John said at last. “I’m glad you’re out of jail. At least you’ve paid for your sins, but I still can’t forgive you. And even if I could..” He paused, his eyes hardening. “I will never forget what your family did to mine.”

He gestured toward the door. “Please. Leave.”

Gladys remained silent, thinking that the evil men did lived with them. It never truly left them. They were greedy and spilled blood in the name of money not caring how easily their wickedness would destroy their lives.

She scoffed inwardly. After everything they had endured, after all they had lost, what good was an apology? Could remorse bring Alfred Wyndham back from the grave? No.

An apology could never repair damage this deep.
