The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 1005

Inside the villa, Fred looked at Malcolm with a darkened expression. "What do you want now?"

Malcolm hardly ever dropped by, but whenever he showed up, he was always up for something.

It was their fifth time meeting up in Lambda City. Fred could tell right away it was going to be another complaint about Rachel.

Grinning, Malcolm poured Fred a cup of coffee and set it on the table. "Have some coffee, Dad. I'm just here to have a chat."

Fred was a little taken aback, thinking it was going to be a complaint. "Have you had dinner?"

Smiling, Malcolm replied, "Nope."

This was the first time Fred cared about his well-being after he grew up. For a brief moment, he felt like he was back to his childhood again.

But Fred was definitely getting old, and so was he. It hit him with an inexplicable sadness.

Fred chuckled. "How about you join me for dinner today?"

Malcolm smirked. Every time he tried to talk to Fred, he'd always get yelled at.

This time, he consulted a psychologist to figure out what was going on in Fred's head and learned some tips on how to deal with Fred.

Even when he poured Fred some coffee, the psychologist planned it all out for him.

In the Carter residence, there were four household staff. Each of them was assigned one task like cleaning, brewing the coffee, buying the groceries, and handling the laundry.

Everything was divided so meticulously that Malcolm had never poured coffee for Fred. He didn't expect that pouring Fred just a cup of coffee would change things so much.

Malcolm cheerfully replied, "I'm here today because I just wanted to grab a meal with you. Back when I was a kid, every time you closed a deal, you'd take the whole family out to eat. Those were the happiest moments."

Fred's face lit up with a nostalgic smile as he gazed at Malcolm more gently. They spent some time reminiscing before Malcolm casually switched the topic.
