The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 1017

A black Mercedes-Benz was parked in the yard, with two people standing beside it.

One of them was a man with a side-parted hairstyle—Denny. The other person was Raphael, who had short hair. Denny brought Raphael along to back him up.

Raphael looked at his outfit and sported a wry smile. "We left in such a hurry. I forgot to take off my white coat."

Upon hearing that, Denny only realized he was still wearing his white coat and angrily grumbled, "Dammit! It's all Otto's fault.

"He's the only all-rounder doctor in our department. How can he just leave a resignation letter behind and quit? I was left with no one to help me as the chief doctor. He's just trying to make me look bad."

Raphael nodded. "He's clearly trying to make life difficult for you. He didn't even give you a chance to hire new people. That's pretty malicious."

Denny nodded. "You're right. I've got to show him who's the boss, or he won't learn his lesson."

Raphael suddenly grinned and interjected. "What about the person you slapped earlier, Mr. Rouse? He didn't dare to say anything after getting smacked and just ran off like a coward.

"But I'm worried about what'll happen when their boss comes to question you. What are we going to say?"

Denny chuckled. "Why do I need to explain myself? This is a new clinic. It's not even fully renovated, and they probably haven't sorted out the health facility license yet.

"I have ties in the health department. I could just make a call, and they won't get their health facility license. Even if their owner shows up, he wouldn't dare say a word."

The moment Denny finished his sentence, four people walked out of the door.

At first glance, Denny spotted Otto, Durban, and the person he slapped earlier. Another guy was there, likely the owner of the building. Since his clothes were pretty plain, Denny didn't think much of him.

Matthew saw two people in white coats and asked Sebastian. "Who hit you just now?"

Matthew's eyes turned cold as he pulled Sebastian over. "I don't care who you're connected to. Forget about that, and answer me this. Did you slap him?"

Denny provocatively smirked at Matthew and mocked, "Yes. I slapped him. What are you going to do about it? Do you have the nerve to hit me back?"

He'd already made it clear that he had connections with the health department's director. He was confident that this new hospital wouldn't risk crossing him during the opening.

Matthew's eyes narrowed as he raised his left hand. With a smack, the sound of a slap rang out.

Denny was sent crashing to the ground. As he tried to push himself up, he suddenly felt something in his mouth, and the sensation of having something in his mouth felt awful.

He spat it out. Three of his teeth, covered in blood, fell to the ground.
