Upon hearing Nicholas' words, Matthew felt his skin crawl, like something asleep inside him was suddenly woken up. His blood started rushing wildly.
During his search for Medieval Medicine, Matthew found a list of murdered traditional medicine practitioners beneath a statue. He felt an urge to grab his weapon and wipe out the Red Wolves.
But he knew it wasn't realistic. The Red Wolves had a huge presence across the country, and their hideouts were hard to find. No way one person could get rid of them.
After learning just how powerful the Juprus Order was, Matthew could barely hold himself back anymore.
He reached out his hand and showed the ring to Nicholas. "Does the Juprus Ring give me the power to command the Juprus Order, Mr. Hanson?"
Nicholas nodded. "Of course."
Upon hearing Nicholas' words, Matthew felt even more fired up. He believed it was time to make a move. "How do I give orders, Mr. Hanson? Where are the members of the Juprus Order?"
Nicholas' face twitched, and his eyes went dim. After a moment of silence, he added, "Let's not get into that right now. You've already gotten the books and legacy items of Eight Medical Sects, right?
"You can't just leave them on the shelf and gather dust. Find a way to promote the Eight Medical Sects' medical techniques and make traditional medicine great again."
Returning traditional medicine to its former glory, huh?
Matthew was all pumped up, but now it felt like a bucket of cold water was poured over him. He instantly lost all his enthusiasm.
"The decline of traditional medicine didn't happen overnight, Mr. Hanson. It's not something that can be changed immediately. This might take a while to see any real progress.
"I think it's better and easier to get rid of the Red Wolves first. Just tell me where are the members of the Juprus Order, Mr. Hanson. I've got big plans."
Nicholas cleared his throat. "Let's put the Red Wolves aside for now. We should focus on reviving traditional medicine first. We probably won't see quick results, but we should at least have a plan in place and follow it through."
Matthew nodded. "That works too. We can start by revitalizing traditional medicine, but we'll need some help. I'm thinking of bringing in a few people from the Jurprus Order."
Next to Matthew, Ansel stared at the ring with his eyes wide open. If he wasn't wearing any glasses, his eyes would have popped out of the sockets.
The Juprus Order might be nowhere to be found, but it wasn't gone forever. The power of the ring was incredible. Yet, Matthew was returning it.
Nicholas coldly remarked, "If you can uncracked a cracked egg, I'll take back the ring."
Matthew was at a loss for words. When they were in prison, that was how they got along, bantering with each other.
Nicholas used to be witty, but now he was downright difficult to handle. It felt just like the times back in the prison. Matthew put the ring back on in resignation.
Ansel couldn't believe his ears when he heard Nicholas say that, his jaw nearly dropped to the floor.
Nicholas always came across as calm, refined, and funny. But if someone pushed his buttons, it was going to get ugly. His methods were so brutal that they scared even Ansel.
