The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 998

When Matthew heard Zachary's words, he immediately knew they were talking about squat training. Progress with this exercise was not something that happened overnight—it required long-term dedication and iron willpower to increase endurance time.

Even though he doubted Zachary could have made much improvement, Matthew was curious and asked with a smile, "So, how long can you hold it now?"

"Nearly two minutes," Zachary declared proudly.

Matthew felt confused—the last time they talked, Zachary had also said "nearly two minutes" at 01:50. He pressed on, "Exactly how many seconds over a minute?"

Zachary scratched his head and chuckled sheepishly. "Sometimes 01:53, other times 01:54… My best so far is 01:55. I'm practically at two minutes!"

Matthew could not help but smile. He knew how grueling it was to add even a single second, so he gave Zachary an encouraging thumbs-up. "Hey, that's progress. Keep it up."

Zachary beamed. "That means a lot coming from you. I think I'm ready now."

Matthew raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Ready to land me a sugar mama," Zachary explained with a grin.

Matthew wanted to tell him that two minutes was not nearly enough to impress a woman in her 30s, but he did not want to crush his spirit.

So, he simply suggested, "Good things come to those who wait. Maybe you should train a bit more."

Zachary shook his head. "Matt, I can't wait any longer. Look how old I'm getting..."

He glanced around to make sure no one was within earshot, then pulled Matthew into the shade of the building.

"Do you know how long it's been since I've been with a woman? I'm going crazy here—I don't want to wait anymore."

Matthew chuckled. Washed up? This guy was acting like he had "charm" to lose in the first place. Clearing his throat, he replied, "You're not relying on your looks to impress her, Zachary. You're banking on your skills to win her over."

Zachary sighed. "But my stamina isn't what it used to be. I'm worried I won't be able to keep up."

"Then maybe forget about the sugar mama plan," Matthew suggested.

Zachary protested, "No way! Look at you—a driver who managed to land our gorgeous CEO, Ms. Carter. You're living the dream—sleeping with a beauty, driving luxury cars, living the high life.

"You're everyone in security's idol! They can only dream about it, but I'm different. I learned your secret technique with the squat training.

"I'm not being greedy either—you got a hot 20-something, I'm going for a 30-something widow. You landed the CEO. I'm aiming for a Finance Manager.

"I'm setting my sights lower, so it should be easier. I know I can do this!"
