The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call (Wynter Quinnell) novel Chapter 1950

Wynter heard the noise behind her but didn't react. Her expression remained calm, as if she were completely unfazed by the fact that she had just walked into enemy territory.

From a distance, she spotted two familiar faces. "Well, if it isn't Edgar and Callan, the honored elders."

Callan spun around when hearing her voice. "You! How dare you show your face in our sect?"

Edgar also pointed at her furiously. "It's all your fault! We've become cripples because of you!"

"My fault?" Wynter blinked innocently. "It sounds more like you're just useless. You tried to play tough and ended up ruining yourself."

Callan raised his voice. "Where are all the disciples? An intruder has entered our sect to challenge us!"

In an instant, disciples swarmed over from all directions.

Wynter, entirely unbothered, pulled Dalton over and sat down on a nearby rock.

Wolf, on the other hand, was practically buzzing with excitement as he shouted, "Boss! Quick! Give them a beating!"

But when he turned back, he realized Wynter and Dalton had already sat down.

Wynter waved a hand dismissively. "They're all yours, Wolf."

"Got it!" Wolf's eyes sparkled as he grinned. "Boss said I get to play with you all."

He weaved effortlessly through the crowd. No one could land a single hit on him. In fact, everyone he passed ended up with a hard slap.

Wynter pulled out a bag of roasted chestnuts from nowhere. "Do you want some? An old woman manning a stall roasted them just now. They smell pretty good."

"Sure." Dalton took one, peeled it, and popped it into his mouth. "Mm, it's not bad."

"Of course." Wynter smiled as she peeled one for herself. "I've got a talent for finding cheap but good food."

Dalton chuckled. "How long do you think it will take for Wolf to clean them up?"
