The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call (Wynter Quinnell) novel Chapter 1953

Wolf had grabbed Brodie's legs and flung him hard to the right. Brodie spun through the air several times before finally coming to a stop.

"Nice one, Wolf," Wynter called out, looking at him with a smile. "Alright, that's enough fun. Leave him hanging on by a thread before bringing him over."

Wolf gave a quick nod. "You got it, Boss! Consider it done!"

Watching this unfold, Brodie shouted, "When has Mt. Darkwood ever offended you? Why are you resorting to such vicious tactics to suppress us?"

Wynter lifted her gaze, her tone taking on a hint of interest. "Weren't you acting all high and mighty just now? You took your disciples' one-sided account and immediately assumed we were here to stir up trouble."

"Then, what exactly happened?" Brodie asked, frowning deeply. "I've raised Callan and Edgar since they were young. They would never do anything too outrageous."

"Are you sure you know nothing?" Wynter's voice was calm yet cold, her eyes sharp with suspicion. "From what I've gathered, your two disciples aren't particularly skilled, but have somehow managed to bind the souls of the wronged. How could they possibly succeed without your help?"

At those words, Brodie fell silent before turning around abruptly. "Callan, Edgar, come here!"

"What is it, Mr. Karter?" the two answered, stepping out together.

"This young woman claims you've been secretly binding wronged souls," Brodie said with a stern tone. "Who ordered you to do so?"

Callan instantly dropped to his knees. "Mr. Karter, we would never do such a thing! She's trying to sow discord and slander us! We wouldn't go near the dark arts like that!"

Wynter let out a soft laugh, her eyes glinting with mockery. "How two-faced. Mt. Darkwood is certainly entertaining."

Brodie gave a slight bow. "Give me some time. I will deal with them harshly if found guilty!"

With that, he brought the two disciples back inside the sect. Once their backs were turned, Brodie's expression shifted into something far more sinister. "Go activate the Heavenly Derivation! Don't let any of them escape!"
