The Heiress’ Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call (Wynter Quinnell) novel Chapter 1952

Brodie's expression turned stormy. "There's no such thing. Shut your mouth."

Wolf remained where he was. "Yo, old man, are you going to fight or not? I'll go first if you won't attack!"

Wynter interrupted, "Wolf, hold your position. If you go all out, you might kill him and ruin our plans."

Wolf glanced back. "Understood, Boss!"

Brodie's fury flared at Wynter's words. "Do you really think Mt. Darkwood is a place you can walk all over? Callan, activate the Heavenly Derivation! We'll bury them here today!"

Callan hesitated. "But that formation is meant for enemies outside the sect. Are you sure we should use it on these three?"

At that, Brodie gave pause before finally saying. "Wait. Prepare it first. I'll give the order when it's time."

Callan nodded and left with Edgar to begin the setup.

"Stop talking already. Fight me with everything you've got," Wolf said as he placed his hands on his hips. "I'm getting impatient!"

Brodie narrowed his eyes as Callan's earlier warning echoed in his mind. If he couldn't overpower Wolf, then he could go after Dalton and Wynter instead. If he could eliminate them, Wolf would lose his edge.

With that thought, he shot into the air and hovered above them. "Disciples, activate a formation!"

The injured disciples groaned in pain but pushed themselves up and began to surround Wolf at Brodie's words.

Brodie began chanting quickly, casting a spell that restored the disciples' stamina in seconds.

Realizing his efforts were useless, Brodie disengaged and launched himself toward Wynter and Dalton instead. He figured it was best to defeat Wynter and Dalton to topple Wolf.

Noticing him flying toward them, Wynter chuckled. "Well, would you look at that? The old man's coming after us."

Dalton glanced up. "He's welcome to try, but let's see if he would be able to leave in one piece."

Brodie was fast. He figured he would be able to control Wolf if he just got to Dalton and Wynter.

In moments, he was just five feet away from them. However, as he reached out to grab them, he suddenly froze in midair. His hands had stopped short, and he was unable to move even an inch.

Then came Wolf's voice from behind him. "Old man, I'm your opponent. Don't go bothering my boss."
