Chapter 435 I’ll Take the Blame

Regina frowned and lowered her voice, upset. “How can you say that about my daughter?
“Gianna might be simple. That actually makes it harder for anyone to notice anything. It’s the least suspicious way.”
The person across from her snorted coldly. “You’re too naive. Amelia isn’t easy to fool. If she gets suspicious, all our hard work will be wasted.”
Regina bit her lip. “Anyway, whatever happens, I’ll take the blame. Just do what I say.”
He was just a spy, just a piece in her plan.
Since when did a piece get to act more arrogant than her?
“Ha, fine. But the consequences are on you,” the person said, then turned and walked away, full of confidence and arrogance.
Regina stomped her foot, knowing he was always like that.
Since he could get big things done, she didn’t argue too much with him.
Meanwhile, at Jordan Estate.
Cora had already returned from the church.
She had been looking forward to seeing her precious grandson, but when she saw him, he looked thinner than before!
“Floyd, what happened? Why are you so thin?”
Cora’s eyes welled up
with tears, and she was about to start crying.
Floyd was always so cute and chubby, and she had worked hard to keep him healthy.
But now, in just a short time, he had lost weight.
He looked tired and worn out.
Kids can’t hide their feelings very well, and he clearly wasn’t feeling good.
Cora quickly reached out and gently touched Floyd’s little face, her voice trembling a little. “Tell me, did someone hurt you? Or are you feeling sick?”
Floyd slowly lifted his head, his big watery eyes looking at Cora, and shook his head.
Cora grew even more worried. She held his little hand tightly. “Floyd, don’t be scared. Tell me, and I’ll take
care of it.”
There was no way he was fine.
Even though Floyd usually didn’t interact much with others, almost like a kid with severe social anxiety, he

Seeing Cora so anxious and unsure, Floyd understood how worried she was. He didn’t want her to worry too
much.
Actually, feeling unhappy had become normal for him, even if he didn’t always show it.
Lately, he had been going through all kinds of stress and emotional pain again. It made him feel like he couldn’t breathe-though he was too young to really understand what that meant.
Still, he remembered what Amelia had told him: he couldn’t let those people break him.
He had to stay strong and live well so that someday he could get back at them.
Floyd was stubborn in his own way. Once he decided something about a person or a situation, he wouldn’t change his mind.
Maybe that’s just how very quiet, shy kids are.
Right now, he really wanted to see Amelia again.
At the banquet that day, they had promised she could come to their house someday.
He believed it and remembered it clearly.
But why hadn’t anyone invited her yet?
“Floyd, what’s wrong?”
Seeing that he still wouldn’t speak, Cora’s worry grew even stronger.
“I’m fine. I just really want to see Ms. Pretty again. Why haven’t you invited her to our house yet?”
After thinking for a while, Floyd decided to use sign language to express his thoughts.
He didn’t dare tell Cora about what Sabrina had done to him.
But he really wanted Amelia to come, so he decided to ask Cora about it.
Cora paused for a moment. “Ms. Pretty?”
Seeing her expression, Floyd quickly wrote the name on a piece of paper.
Amelia Nygard.
He wrote neatly, every letter sharp and even, perfectly spaced-it looked so tidy that it was almost beautiful.
He had learned from Sabrina that Ms. Pretty’s full name was Amelia Nygard.
When Cora saw the name, she impay under who he meant.
Her
s showed a flicker of coated feelings, but she quickly softened. She gently patted Floyd’s shoulder and said, “Floyd, I know you want to see Ms. Pretty. It’s just that things have been busy at home lately, and we haven’t had a chance to invite her yet. But I’ll have someone invite her right now, okay?”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
