“That awful woman made our family look bad and embarrassed you! Why would she invite her here?”
When Brielle found out about this, she was furious.
Sabrina had expected this reaction, which was why she had told her on purpose.
“Maybe it’s Floyd. Because he likes Ms. Amelia, he probably asked Grandma to invite her.”
Sabrina kept her face calm and showed no emotion, but inside, she was really annoyed.
That stubborn brother just wouldn’t listen!
I had told him over and over not to invite Amelia, but he wouldn’t give up.
He used to always obey me, but now he’s learned to fight back, huh?
Brielle snapped. “Ugh, Ms. Amelia? Why call her all polite like that?
“Hmph, I don’t want her at our house. She’s not welcome! I’m going to confront Grandma about this.”
Brielle was always hot-headed and stubborn, with no hidden agenda.
That made her easy to manipulate.
Sabrina thought to herself, Let her make a scene.
She really didn’t want Amelia to come over to her house, but she couldn’t say it out loud-it would make her look petty.
Petty because of the broken engagement.
Actually, it wasn’t Jeremy who made her not want Amelia there,
The real reason Sabrina worried was that Amelia was too smart and sneaky. She feared that if Amelia came, she might discover some secrets.
After all, Amelia was sharp and paid attention to small details.
By now, Brielle had gone off to make a fuss with Cora.
When Sabrina followed a little later, she hadn’t even gotten close when she heard Brielle shouting. “Grandma, I really don’t see why we need to invite that woman. She’ll just get in everyone’s way!
“Jeremy broke off his engagement with Sabrina because of Amelia. Now you invite her over? How do you think that makes Sabrina feel?”
Cora held her head. The loud shouting was giving her a headache,
She rubbed her temples and said patiently, “That’s just gossip out there. You can’t be sure it’s true.”

Then, seeing Sabrina walk in, she immediately turned to her and asked, “Sabrina, perfect timing. I know you
and the Currans ended the engagement, but Whitney told me you two were just bound by a family- arranged match anyway. You two probably didn’t have much real feeling anyway. So, this shouldn’t affect you too much, right? How do you feel about it?”
Cora thought to herself. Sabrina spends most of her time in the lab and doesn’t have much contact with Jeremy.
This engagement was mostly arranged by Bridget and me during a dinner when we got carried away, without asking the kids.
But it was just a verbal agreement-it wasn’t official. No rings were exchanged, and no announcement was made.
So, she figured it probably wouldn’t make Sabrina too upset.
Hearing this, Sabrina felt a flicker of annoyance.
She thought to herself. They went ahead and arranged an engagement for me, and now it’s broken, and here she is acting like it’s no big deal.
Does she think I’m that easy to control?
Even though she was upset, Sabrina was always good at hiding her feelings. She spoke softly and politely to Cora, “Mm, it’s fine. Since Jeremy doesn’t have feelings for me, I can’t force him.”
Sabrina’s words immediately put Cora at ease. She quickly turned to Brielle and said, “See? Sabrina herself said it’s fine and she doesn’t mind. Why are you making such a fuss when you’re not even involved?”
Brielle responded, “Grandma, Sabrina never complains. Even if she says it’s fine, she’s definitely upset inside!
“Even if it wasn’t about her, I just don’t like that Amelia. I just don’t want to see her!”
Now, Brielle wasn’t holding back-whether it was fair or not, she made it clear that she really disliked Amelia.
Cora said, “If you don’t like her, then stay in your room that day and mind your own business.
“Floyd wants to see Amelia, and you know how he feels. To make Floyd happy, I’m inviting her no matter what.”
Cora didn’t care whether Brielle liked Amelia or not. Even if she didn’t, she still had to think of Floyd’s feelings.
As long as Floyd could be happy and healthy, she would do whatever it took to make that happen.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
