Chapter 440 The Test Subjects
That’s why some well-educated criminals try to make big money using these kinds of experiments.
There are also people who act as the first test subjects, like lab rats.

These test subjects are the first to take the hit, used as stepping stones by those rich, powerful people who think they can become all-around elites.
She texted, “No need to guess, Regina was definitely one of the lab rats. You can check her background.”
Amelia didn’t think someone like Regina was a natural genius.
She was definitely the type of person others would use as a test subject.
Tyler replied, “Hehe, you don’t have to explain this. I already looked into her background. Didn’t find anything too exciting.”
After replying to that, he sent over a file.
Amelia opened it and skimmed quickly for the key points.
Regina was born into a decent family, basically a traditional medicine family.
Not as rich as the Nygards, but still better off than the average family.
She was wild as a kid, had average talent but didn’t study hard, and spent most of her time dressing up.
She started dating early, and when she met Raymond, she thought he could help her rise up in the world.
But in the end, she didn’t marry into a rich family.
During her relationship with Raymond, she also had connections with a lot of other men.
So she wasn’t exactly a good girl.
Ursula probably found all this out, too, which is why she stopped them from being together.
The turning point came after Gianna was born. Regina went quiet for a while.
When she got back in touch with Raymond, she slowly started becoming more cunning and capable.
It wasn’t just that someone was pulling strings behind the scenes-she herself had gotten smarter.
Before, Regina’s parents forced her to learn traditional medicine and other similar skills, but she was always average, not even half as good as her father.
Later, after her father got in trouble and went to jail, she gradually got stronger.
Her knowledge in pharmaceutical research seemed to improve really fast.
People who didn’t know might think she just worked hard in middle age to catch up, but the truth was probably more complicated.

Chapter 440 The Test Subjects
Amelia guessed that Regina was probably used as an experiment during that time.

Some schemers picked her and transplanted “superior genes” into her body, which caused such a huge change.
Behind this illegal gene experiment, there had to be a big chain of people making money.
These smart, educated criminals took advantage of people’s desire to get strong without effort.
They even used the excuse of “boosting talent” to do things that were unethical and illegal.
Amelia wrote, “I wonder if Mr. Nygard knows about this. Keep watching, and also keep an eye on the Jordans, too.”
“Don’t worry, I’m watching everything. Raymond probably doesn’t know. They look close, but if you notice the details, Regina doesn’t really love him.”
Tyler was also very sharp and could pick up on little hints to figure out some of what was going on.
Amelia couldn’t be sure about what was happening between Raymond and Regina. If she hadn’t tested him and talked to him herself, she wouldn’t have known.
Now, she wasn’t sure how much Raymond knew, but if Regina got involved, it could cause a lot of trouble.
“Okay, keep collecting info. Contact me if you find anything big.”
After sending that message, Amelia closed the chat and switched back to her usual system.
To keep anyone from hacking into her phone, Amelia had carefully set up a dual-system mode.
The information she had just received was huge. She also found new clues about that evil organization.
So she needed some time to think and clear her mind.
Amelia stared off for a while, lost in thought, until Patience came into the office and broke the silence.
“Hey, you haven’t eaten yet, right? Want to grab something together?”
Patience rarely caught this busy little hustler free, and she wasn’t letting her slip away without a meal.
“Sure! Where should we go? Want me to call Josie too?”
“No need. She’s busy training the new recruits. She’s almost impossible to reach,” Patience said.
Amelia smiled. “Being busy at work is good too. Shows she’s got a bright future ahead.”
The two laughed and chatted as they headed to the cafe Patience recommended, a pastry café.
Their pastries and small desserts were not only delicious but also beautifully made.

Comments
The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
