Chapter 455 Hidden Threats
Finished
“Jeremy is probably in danger too,” Walter said seriously. “He’s outstanding, just like you. His abilities are rare, and that makes him a target. People like that will definitely notice him. The two of you must be extra careful.”
“I know,” Amelia replied with a nod. “We’ve always stayed alert and cautious.”
She understood what Walter meant and added, “That Wade has questionable character too. He’s working closely with Regina. I’m guessing they answer to the same person behind the scenes.”
“That’s possible,” Walter said, nodding. “That organization is deeply tangled inside. We still don’t fully understand it, so don’t act rashly.”
Walter warned her again, his tone firm.
From the very beginning, he had felt something was wrong about Hendrick’s “death” and the sudden car
accident that killed Paul and his wife.
That was why he had started investigating in secret.
The more he dug, the more problems he uncovered. And the deeper he went, the more terrifying the truth became.
If he hadn’t followed each clue step by step, he would never have imagined such a mysterious organization even existed.
And if he hadn’t kept digging, he probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with Amelia or become her mentor.
Walter also knew that those people had wanted to come after him as well.
First, his talent was dangerous enough to draw attention. That was how he had reached his current position.
Second, his quiet investigations had already alerted them.
The only reason he was still safe was because they hadn’t found a way to move against him.
He came from a family with deep roots in the military and scientific research. That background alone made most people think twice.
On top of that, his current status made him even harder to touch.
Hard-but not impossible.
If those people were pushed too far, they might choose a path where everyone loses.
At his age, Walter had already devoted his entire life to his country and to research. He had seen through fame, danger, and even life itself. If something happened to him, he could accept it.
But Amelia and Jeremy were still young. They had bright futures and plans ahead of them.
He could not bear the thought of anything happening to them.

Chapter 455 Hidden Threats
Walter never showed his worry openly. Instead, he offered calm, steady advice.

“So every step you take from now on must be careful, he said quietly. “You and Jeremy need to share information and watch each other’s backs.
“If that organization has been able to stay hidden for so long,” he added, “then they definitely have power and methods we shouldn’t underestimate,”
Amelia nodded seriously and said, “Don’t worry, Walter. He and I stay in close contact.
“We’re also trying to gather more information about that organization, she continued. “We hope to take them down all at once, as soon as possible.”
“Safety comes first,” Walter said firmly. “You can’t rush and expose yourselves.
“I’ll keep using my own resources and contacts to investigate,” he added. “Let’s see if we can find a breakthrough from another angle.”
“Okay,” Amelia replied. “I think we should dig deeper into Wade and Regina.
“And Esmond too,” she said after a pause. “I don’t think he’s as simple as he looks. The connection between them might be the key to solving this.”
Walter fell silent, thinking. His expression grew heavy. “Yes. But be careful not to let them notice that we’re already suspicious.
“If they’re working with a secret organization,” he said, “they won’t be easy opponents.”
Amelia nodded. “I’ve been thinking that Wade and Jeremy must have some kind of conflict of interest. He may have teamed up with that organization for his own gain.
“That wouldn’t be surprising,” she went on. “Wade has always liked going against Hendrick. He’s been jealous of him for years.
“Jeremy is so capable and has taken control of the family,” Amelia said. “It’s normal for Wade to feel resentful.
“The Currans are a powerful family. Their internal interests are tangled and messy. Wade might be using the organization to get what he wants, like fighting for control of the family.”
Walter understood the Currans’ situation well. After all, he and Hendrick had once been close friends.
“Alright,” he said at last. “I’ll talk to Jeremy about this later.”
Amelia knew the Currans’ internal situation was far more complicated than it looked on the surface.
She had grown up in a powerful family herself. She understood those hidden schemes and ugly truths all
too well.
It had been a long time since mentor and student had sat together like this, talking so deeply.
After they finished, Walter returned to PharmaCore 01.
Amelia didn’t keep him.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
