Chapter 459 Under His Protection
That way, she could spend a little more time alone with Amelia.
After arriving at the estate, Amelia was the first to step out of the car.
She had just reached the front door when the butler walked straight toward her.
“Ms. Amelia, you’re finally here. Mrs. Jordan has been waiting for you for quite a while.”

It was clear the butler already knew she was coming. He treated her as the most important guest of the day.
His face was polite and warm as he personally led her inside.
“Jerry, she’s just an unwanted, ignored daughter from the Nygards,” someone snapped.
“Do you really need to lower yourself like this? You may only be a butler, but you worked for us. You’re not supposed to flatter outsiders like her!”
Brielle walked over as she spoke.
She knew her grandmother and Nydia had invited Amelia today, so she had come early and waited here on purpose.
Brielle wanted to mock and embarrass Amelia before she could even step inside.
She had no choice. This woman always stole Sabrina’s spotlight. She even took her cousin’s fiancé.
Brielle felt sorry for Sabrina and couldn’t swallow this anger.
“Who do you think you are?” Jeremy said coldly. “You’re nothing but a parasite. How do you have the nerve to talk about Amelia?”
Jeremy had been right behind Amelia. Hearing Brielle’s sharp insults instantly wiped the smile from his face.
A nobody like her had the nerve to act wild in front of him.
“Jeremy! How can you defend an outsider over me?” Brielle froze in shock.
She never expected him to be here.
“Say my name again,” Jeremy warned, his voice sharp. “Do it one more time, and I’ll shut your mouth for good.”
“And don’t forget,” he added, eyes cold, “you’re the real outsider here.”
A single glance from him sent a chill down her spine. Her scalp tingled with fear.
She was furious. She truly didn’t understand why he protected Amelia so fiercely.
What did Sabrina lack compared to her?

“Let’s go.” Jeremy said. He didn’t bother arguing. He took Amelia’s hand and led her inside.
Amelia didn’t pull away. She let him hold her hand.
Being protected like this felt surprisingly nice.
As she passed Brielle, Amelia even gave her a look.

Jerry finally relaxed, silently thankful that Jeremy was there. Otherwise, no one could have stopped that troublesome girl.
“I’m so mad!” Brielle stomped her foot in place.
She saw the challenge in Amelia’s eyes and almost exploded.
“Don’t get smug! One day, I’ll make you pay!”
Amelia ignored her completely, as if she hadn’t heard a word.
After entering the house, they saw Sabrina making tea. She was about to hand the cup to Cora.
“Mrs. Jordan shouldn’t drink tea right now,” Amelia said gently. “This tea will clash with the medicine I prescribed and weaken its effect. It’s best to wait until the treatment is finished.”
The moment Nydia heard this, she quickly took the teacup from Sabrina’s hand.
“Oh my, thank goodness you came just in time, Amelia. Good thing Mom didn’t drink it,” Nydia said.
“Yes, I had no idea. Thank goodness I didn’t drink it,” Cora added, clearly shaken.
Sabrina, whose good intentions had nearly caused trouble, stiffened slightly. A flash of malice crossed her
eyes.
She lifted her gaze and happened to see Jeremy holding Amelia’s hand. The hostility in her eyes deepened.
But it disappeared in an instant, so fast that no one noticed.
“I’m sorry, Ms. Amelia,” Sabrina said politely. “I didn’t realize it had to be this strict. Usually, as long as tea and medicine are taken two hours apart, there’s no problem.”
She believed she understood medicine very well. Deep down, she suspected Amelia was targeting her on purpose by saying this.
“It depends on the situation,” Amelia replied calmly. “The medicine I prescribed this time must follow the instructions exactly.
“You’re a top expert in medical research; I’m sure you understand.”
Amelia disliked this kind of indirect, pointed way of speaking.
Even though Sabrina sounded polite and modest, Amelia could still hear the dissatisfaction underneath.
“That’s right, Sabrina,” Nydia stepped in. “You should listen to Amelia. She’s your grandmother’s attending
doctor now.”

“And Amelia is Professor Preston’s personal mentee,” Nydia added. “What she says can’t be wrong.”
By now, Nydia was almost half a fan of Amelia. She felt Amelia knew so much and trusted her deeply.
Those words made Sabrina feel even worse inside.
Still, she was always reserved and rarely showed her emotions.
She responded humbly, “You’re right, Aunt Nydia. I was too nervous and didn’t think it through carefully.”

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
