Chapter 463 Steady Recovery
After dinner, Amelia went to Cora’s bedroom to give her a full checkup.

“Your recovery is progressing well,” Amelia said. “Keep taking the medicine I prepared for you. In another month or two, you should be mostly back to normal.”
Amelia was quite satisfied with Cora’s progress.
The Jordans really lived up to their name. As a large and powerful family, they had access to excellent medical care.
On top of that, Cora received steady nutrition and proper supplements. Because of this, her recovery was even better than expected.
At her age, she couldn’t compare herself to young people. Still, her condition was much better than before.
“Hehe, it’s all thanks to you, Amelia,” Cora said with a smile. “Your medicine is so gentle to take. I feel more energetic than I did before, and my body feels lighter too.”
She paused, then sighed. “Oh my, you and Sabrina both study medicine, so how did the gap between you become this big?”
Cora wasn’t trying to put down her own granddaughter, and she didn’t favor one over the other.
She was simply stating the facts as she saw them.
In the past, her well-behaved granddaughter had also given her tonic supplements from time to time.
They helped a little, but the results were never obvious.
Amelia’s treatment, however, was clearly different. The improvement was noticeable.
She felt so strong now that she joked she could wrestle an old bull to the ground.
Of course, she only said this after making sure the two granddaughters weren’t around.
Otherwise, Brielle would surely explode with anger on Sabrina’s behalf.
“Oh come on, Mom,” Nydia said quickly. “You can’t blame Sabrina. She focuses on drug research, not clinical treatment.
“Amelia is different,” she continued. “She’s Professor Preston’s mentee. Whether it’s using medicine or developing it, she’s top-notch.
“On top of that, her medical skills are excellent. Of course the results wouldn’t be the same.”
Nydia had a straightforward personality. She spoke fairly and didn’t favor anyone.
She didn’t defend Sabrina on purpose, but her words were honest and balanced.
“Cora takes good care of herself,” Amelia added calmly. “She eats well, exercises, and keeps a regular schedule. That’s the foundation of a strong body.”

Treatment skills matter, but a patient’s own physical strength and resistance are just as important.
Everyone stood together and chatted for a while. Floyd, who had been standing quietly to the side, started to feel restless.
He walked over to his grandmother, gently tugged at her sleeve, and looked up at her with his beautiful, star-bright eyes, blinking softly.
One eye was blue, the other red, which looked a little unusual.
But his features were so delicate that it only made him look even more striking-almost elf-like.
“Alright, alright,” Cora said with a smile. “I know you want to play with Amelia. Go on. I won’t keep Amelia to myself.”
Cora had watched this child grow up. How could she not understand what he meant?
That small gesture, the look in his eyes-she understood it at once.
The moment she spoke, Floyd’s face lit up with a wide smile.
Cora and Nydia hadn’t seen him smile like that in a long time.
O
When she saw that long-lost smile again, it made their hearts melt, especially Nydia’s.
She never had children of her own and had always loved her nephew as if he were her son.
“Cora and Nydia,” Amelia said, hesitating for a moment, “may I ask something? Was Floyd born with his eye color and personality?”
She had wanted to ask this for a long time but never found the right moment.
Now that it was just the few of them and Brielle wasn’t around, she finally spoke up.
They weren’t surprised by the question.
After all, Amelia wasn’t the first person to ask.
“No,” Cora said softly. “When Floyd was born, he was just like any other healthy child. Very normal. Very cute. These changes appeared one or two years after his parents passed away.”
“He was about two or three years old,” Nydia added.
As they spoke, both women felt
De familiar ache and sorrow in their hearts.
Floyd’s parents had died too suddenly.
The accident came without warning.
why the Jordan family doted on the and Floyd became orphans at such a young age, which was
even more,
Especially Floyd, who was only a few months old at the time. It broke everyone’s heart.
Cora and Nydia felt deeply guilty, believing they hadn’t taken good enough care of him.

For reasons they still didn’t understand, after he turned one, he slowly began to speak less and cry for no clear reason.
At first, they didn’t think too much of it. Most of their attention was on Sabrina.
When the couple died in the accident, Sabrina was old enough to understand what had happened and had thoughts of her own.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
