Chapter 476 Embarrassed by the Past
So outdated!
Amelia was busy flipping through the funny photos of Jeremy from his childhood.

She stared at them with curiosity and laughter, completely missing the meaning behind someone’s carefully chosen words.
When Jeremy realized she was staring at photos of his chubby younger self, his face stiffened at once.
He felt awkward and rushed to grab the album back, but Amelia was faster and snatched it away first.
“Hey, what are you doing?” she teased. “Are you shy?”
“Don’t look!” Jeremy snapped. “It’s ugly!” It was the first time he had ever felt this embarrassed and uncomfortable.
“Haha, no way,” Amelia laughed. “It’s actually kind of cute.”
Her words only made his face turn even redder.
Seeing this side of him for the first time, Amelia found it oddly fascinating.
She realized that spending time here on weekends, relaxing like this, really did lift her mood and make her feel happier.
“What’s cute about that? I look way better now,” Jeremy argued.
“Oh?” Amelia teased. “You care that much about your looks?”
She had always thought a man this handsome never worried about appearance at all.
“In front of you,” Jeremy said honestly, “of course I care.”
In the past, he only cared about strength, about control, about shaping his fate and even the fate of others.
Jeremy focused on becoming the strongest man possible; looks had never mattered much to him.
Besides, he knew he looked decent enough.
After meeting Amelia, things changed. He started paying attention to his appearance, his style, and even the way he dressed.
Especially after that time, she and her friends went out to have fun with a gigolo. It bothered him more than he liked to admit.
There was no way he could lose to those gigolos.
“Ahem.” Amelia coughed lightly, suddenly feeling a little shy at his blunt words.
There were elders and a child right there. What was this man even saying?

Whitney, however, saw absolutely nothing wrong with it.
In fact, she cupped her face, her eyes practically turning into heart shapes.
A*!
Jeremy really knew how to talk. Way too smooth!
At this rate, I might become a grandmother sooner than I thought.
Oh my, heehee!

Amelia, already the family favorite, didn’t even get the chance to say much more to Jeremy or stay by his side for long.
In the blink of an eye, Whitney had dragged her outside into the garden to look at the flowers and plants instead.
Floyd naturally stayed right by her side, never leaving her for a moment, like a tiny guardian.
He didn’t talk much and was usually very quiet. But listening to Amelia chat with Whitney, he found it interesting and new and quietly took it all in.
“Amelia, don’t these herbs look pretty good?” Whitney asked with pride. “I’ve been working on a new grafted variety lately. It’s especially helpful for childhood asthma and other breathing problems.”
True to her background in medical research, Whitney quickly shifted into professional mode.
When it came to topics like this and with these two experts present, Jeremy had absolutely no place to speak. He could only stand by and listen.
“They’re really impressive,” Amelia said, her eyes lighting up. “This kind of grafting technique is very demanding. Even if it succeeds, it’s hard to grow on a large scale. You’re amazing.”
She looked over the patch of herbs carefully. The area wasn’t very large, but being able to successfully graft around 50 plants was already a big achievement.
What impressed her even more was that every single plant looked strong and healthy. “Not bad at all,” she added sincerely.
Whitney laughed happily. “Of course! Once this batch is harvested, we can try expanding production.”
“That’ll be a bit challenging,” Amelia replied honestly. “But I really like the idea.”
Just then, Floyd, who had been listening quietly the whole time, suddenly spoke in a small voice. “Chicks.”
“Oh my, that’s wonderful!” Whitney exclaimed, instantly delighted. “He’s only been here one day, and he’s already talking. What a nice voice, hahaha.”
She was clearly thrilled and couldn’t help but praise him,
When the child had been dropped off earlier, Cora had been full of worry on the phone, afraid that Floyd wouldn’t adapt well.

But look at him now, playing just fine and even speaking up.

“Hmm,” Amelia said, glancing around. “These little chicks are here to help control pests for the herbs, right?”
She didn’t even need an answer before adding with a smile, “Once they’re grown and nice and plump, they’d be perfect for a medicinal chicken stew. Very nourishing.”
These weren’t ordinary chicks. One look told her they came from a specialized breeding base.
They were raised on medicinal plants, helping with pest control while also being suitable for medicinal cooking.
Two benefits at once.
They truly deserved to be called special breed chickens.
Amelia stared at the fluffy little chicks, her eyes practically glowing. For a brief, slightly wicked moment, she even felt the urge to turn them straight into stew and enjoy them as tiny roasted birds.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
