This feeling was really wonderful. No wonder his mother insisted that Amelia come in to help.
If they could spend every weekend afternoon like this in the future, relaxed and together, that would be a kind of happiness.
“Heh, I told you,” Whitney said with a laugh. “My silly son did really well this time.”
As Jeremy’s biggest supporter, Whitney watched the way they worked together and the way they looked at each other. She couldn’t be happier for them.
She knew exactly what those looks meant. She had been there before.
In high spirits, she called for the butler to serve the food and made sure the two of them sat together.
“Amelia, thanks to you, I finally get to eat food my son cooked himself,” Whitney said cheerfully. “I’m so happy. Come on, try it.”
She couldn’t help sighing again. Sons really do grow up and belong to someone else.
Still, she had an open heart. As long as the young couple was happy, that was enough for her.
When she retired, she could dance with her friend and help take care of her grandchildren. That sounded just fine.
“Mr. Handsome’s cooking is really good!” Floyd exclaimed as he was the first to taste the food.
He immediately started signing excitedly, full of praise for Jeremy.
“Oh wow, this is really good,” Whitney said after taking a bite. “The beef is so tender, and this pasta is great too.”
“This fusion dish works really well,” she continued happily. “And these glazed chicken wings are Amelia’s favorite. Amelia, eat more.”
She gave a big thumbs-up and kept praising her son in front of her future daughter-in-law.
“Okay,” Amelia said, nodding.
The pasta and steak were cooked beautifully. They looked good and tasted even better,
The salmon was especially hard to make, but he had pulled it off, and it was delicious.
Amelia didn’t hold back. She picked up another bite and stuffed it into her mouth, her cheeks puffed out as she said, “It’s really good!”
The moment she said that, Jeremy finally relaxed.
Watching her eat with her cheeks all round and full was just too cute.
“If you like it,” he said softly, “I can cook for you every day.”

His words made Whitney clutch her face in excitement. She almost wanted to scream.
Ahhh! My silly son actually knew how to say sweet things.

Unlike his father, who was terrible with words.
Off to the side, Sabrina felt awful listening to all this.
She and Bridget hadn’t even gotten to taste Jeremy’s cooking, yet they had to sit there and watch this sweet scene unfold.
It was uncomfortable. Almost unbearable.
Bridget felt the same way.
She had thought she would get to eat something Floyd made, but that “family of four” seemed to exist in their own little world.
They had completely forgotten she was even there.
Only after Bridget deliberately coughed twice-“ahem, ahem”-did Whitney finally remember her.
Whitney finally asked with concern, “Bridget, are you okay? If you’re not feeling well, should I have the butler take you home to rest?”
Bridget didn’t know what to say.
Did that bitch really want her gone that badly?
“So you really don’t want me here?” Bridget asked coldly.
“How could that be?” Whitney replied at once. “I even developed a wellness formula just for you. It’s perfect for someone your age.
“I already asked the butler to prepare it so you can take it home and use it.”
After hearing that, Bridget found it hard to accuse her of being unfilial. There was nothing more she could
say.
Still, her heart was full of frustration.
Especially when she saw them eating the food Floyd had cooked. It wasn’t anything fancy-no rare dishes or expensive ingredients. Somehow, it looked even better than luxury food,
Her daughter-in-law had prepared all kinds of nice dishes for her. But honestly, she ate that kind of food every day and was already tired of it.
She could sit at the same table and easily pick up some of the food Jeremy made. There was nothing wrong
with that.
But she just couldn’t bring herself to do that.
Bridget had been stubborn for her whole life.

Unless Whitney or Jeremy personally invited her to eat it, she refused to reach for it herself. No way.
“Bridget, what’s wrong?” Whitney asked. “Are you full already?”
“Not too hungry,” Bridget replied stiffly. “I didn’t cat lunch before coming”
“Then why aren’t you taking any food?” Whitney asked. “Is the food not to your taste?”

Whitney noticed Bridget had barely picked up any food; she almost wondered if Bridget had already eaten at the estate before coming.
After all, she usually had lunch very early.
Why be shy about it? If she didn’t want to eat or was already full, she could just say so.
Why make people guess all the time? Wasn’t that tiring?
“No,” Bridget said slowly. “I just feel eating too much expensive food all the time gets tiring. I want to try something different.”
As she spoke, her eyes drifted toward the dishes placed in front of Amelia, all of them cooked by Jeremy.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
