Chapter 562 The Dry Cleaning Trick
Josie was definitely not someone to mess with. She immediately grabbed her drink and splashed it right in the jerk’s face.
“You! How dare you splash me!” The handsome guy clearly hadn’t seen that coming.
He was good-looking, rich, and funny. In his mind, being noticed by him and getting a little touch should have been considered a privilege.
How dare she treat him like this?
“Oh please. Keep those wandering hands to yourself or lose them.
“Who do you think you are, trying to grope me?”
Josie instantly lost all interest in this pathetic excuse for a man.
So what if he had a pretty face? Behavior like that was absolutely revolting.
She set down her glass and was about to leave when her sharp eyes spotted Jeremy’s table.
Oh my, it was Amelia’s big-shot CEO boyfriend.
Now that she had run into him, she might as well go say hi.
“Hey, Mr. Curran. What a coincidence running into you here.”
She had originally planned to just greet him and then give him a little warning—that he better stay loyal to her bestie-when she noticed the man sitting next to him.
This guy was clearly an upper-class elite, but he had a different vibe from Jeremy’s intense
presence.
This man had a clean, refined quality with a hint of scholarly elegance.
He was the type of polished professional who was sharp and put-together, yet carried a certain bookish charm.
And beneath that bookish charm was a gentle, sophisticated air.
In short, he was totally her type.
“Mr. Curran, having dinner with a friend? Hope I’m not interrupting.”
After saying that, Josie flipped her hair and cast a sweet glance at Harrison.

“Mm, perfect timing actually. This is my college buddy, Harrison Ramley. He’s planning to join Nygard Group to help Amelia manage the company.”
Jeremy gave a brief introduction.
They had both witnessed the scene of her splashing beer all over that guy moments ago.
Tsk, Amelia’s friends were clearly not to be trifled with.
“Oh really? What a coincidence! You don’t mind if I sit down and chat, do you?”
Although Josie phrased it as a question, she sat down right next to Harrison before anyone could even respond. She had no intention of waiting for permission.
The moment she sat down, Harrison caught a whiff of her pleasant perfume.
He raised an eyebrow.
“You two should get to know each other. You’ll be partners from now on.”
Jeremy glanced at his watch after saying that and stood up. “I need to go pick up guys chat.”
Amelia. You
“Hm? You’re just going to ditch me here?” Harrison looked at his classmate with an amused smirk.
“You’re a grown man. Don’t be so dramatic.”
Jeremy had zero sympathy for anyone apart from Amelia.
But he was still generous enough to grab the check on his way out. “Relax, dinner’s on me.”
“Don’t worry. Mr. Curran’s leaving you behind because he’s missing my bestie. I’ll keep you company, so no need to feel abandoned.”
Josie smiled at him sweetly, her voice dripping with honey.
But he didn’t say anything in response-just offered a polite smile.
“Mr. Ramley, since we’re going to be partners running the company together soon, why don’t we exchange numbers?”
She pulled out her phone as she spoke.
“I’d rather not. I don’t really use my phone much. We can just communicate through the company group chat later.”

Josie was speechless.
Did he really expect her to believe that nonsense?
Who doesn’t use their phone these days? Even her eight-year-old nephew had a phone!
She refused to accept this. It was infuriating!
“Alright then. Here’s to a successful partnership in advance.”
Josie raised her glass, hoping to toast with him.
Harrison wasn’t about to refuse something as simple as that.
But just as their glasses clinked, Josie’s hand slipped and the drink spilled out of her glass.
And it happened to land on Harrison’s shirt, leaving a small wet spot.
“Oh no, I’m so sorry! My hand slipped.”
Josie looked flustered and apologetic.
She frantically grabbed a handful of napkins, trying to wipe it off for him.
“It’s fine. I can handle it myself.” Harrison took the napkins from her and wiped it up himself.
“That shirt must be expensive. You really should get it dry-cleaned.”
Her big doe eyes darted around before she pulled out her phone again. “I should really get your number so I can send you money for the dry cleaning later.”
Looking at her smiling face, Harrison studied her for a moment, then responded with a hint of amusement. “Alright then.”
With that, he pulled out his own phone.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
