“What’s the rush? Harrison will reply to you eventually.”

Amelia thought her friend was overthinking this.

It hadn’t even been that long.

The guy had just arrived and was getting familiar with his new environment and busy with work-it was perfectly normal for him not to check his phone.

As the saying goes, when you care too much, you lose your cool.

The employees were probably feeling anxious and out of place.

A short two-day, one-night getaway would be perfect-everyone could relax, and it would help build stronger bonds among the staff.

“Stop it right now. We need to get out and go. Everyone’s probably already there.”

They had already left later than planned, and if they kept dawdling, they would be even later.

As the head of Nygard Group, she really should show up early and make an appearance.

Jeremy dutifully grabbed the camping gear from the trunk and took her hand as they walked together.

“Is that stuff heavy? Let me carry some.”

The mountain path here was winding and a bit tricky to navigate. Amelia thought she could help lighten his load.

“Absolutely not,” He refused without a second thought.

There was no way he would let her carry any of this. He was nearly six foot four-hauling this stuff was nothing for him.

After walking for a short while, they spotted the area where everyone had set up camp.

The only thing was, a shallow stream separated them from the group.

If they went around it, they would have to walk quite a distance.
