True friends don't need to be many. Two or three are enough.
Early Sunday morning, Josie dressed up carefully. She treated this blind date with the highest level of respect.
The moment she walked downstairs, even Renard and Daisy couldn't help giving her big thumbs-ups and praising her.
"Wow, it looks like you really like Harrison. I've never seen you take a blind date this seriously."
"That's my daughter. You're so pretty. You'll definitely charm him."
Josie smiled and waved her hand. "We have to keep a low profile."
She worried Harrison might feel inferior and think he wasn't good enough for her, then back out.
Not long after, a well-dressed Harrison arrived with Perry and Hayley. Both of them carried large bags and gift boxes, not to mention the driver and assistant.
The scene looked less like a date and more like a formal marriage proposal.
"Hello, Hayley. Hello, Perry," Josie greeted politely.
Then, excited, she rushed to Harrison and hooked her arm through his like a girlfriend.
"Oh, Josie really likes Harrison. This doesn't feel like a blind date. It feels like we came to talk about a wedding."
"Haha, that's good. I'll have someone arrange the details later. We'll make sure Josie has a grand ceremony."
Perry and Hayley were now very warm toward Josie, almost like they were treating a future daughter-in-law.
Harrison was speechless.
Does anyone even consider my feelings?
He felt like he had no right to speak.
He wanted to shake Josie's hand off, but when he saw Renard, Daisy, and even Jamal staring at him intensely, he suddenly felt doing that would be a terrible crime.
So, he let her hold his arm.
Josie became even happier. She felt that winning Harrison over definitely required help from their families.
Daisy's smile brightened as she added quickly, "Josie was spoiled growing up. She'll need Harrison to be patient with her.
"But honestly, Harrison is excellent, steady, and reliable. Josie is the lucky one to meet him."
Jamal's eyes clearly said, Bro, just endure it. Making your parents happy is worth a small sacrifice.
Perry walked with Renard, talking about company projects.
The whole group entered the house and chatted happily. The happiest person was Josie.
She was cheerful and sincere, and she knew how to make people comfortable.
As the lady of a top-tier family, Hayley could easily see Josie wasn't a scheming girl, so she liked her even more.
This "blind date" had basically turned into a family meeting, more like an engagement dinner.
They didn't officially get engaged, but they were very close to it.
Both families only left after dinner.
Once everything was over, Josie felt it still wasn't fun enough, so she texted Amelia and Patience.
She wanted to ask them out to chat, maybe grab drinks and late-night snacks, but one had to work overtime for an exhibition and the other was busy training new employees, so neither had time.
"Well, looks like I'm the one with the most free time now."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
New chapters please....
