A moment later, Amelia followed Sabrina back inside.
The instant she stepped through the doors, she was surrounded again, swept into another wave of conversation and laughter.
Being the center of attention was exhausting, but strangely enough, she didn't mind it at all. The people around her weren't stiff socialites or judgmental matriarchs.
They were her closest friends, along with elders who genuinely cared for her.
Eating, drinking, and chatting with them felt like a real celebration—not a performance.
With Jeremy beside her, constantly handing her small bites and watching out for her, she felt taken care of in every possible way.
It was a rare, deep sense of happiness—warm, steady, and grounding.
According to Jeremy, besides his careful planning, the three Nygard brothers had also put a tremendous amount of effort into organizing the party.
At that very moment, they were currently working the room, keeping the energy high and ensuring every guest was satisfied.
Amelia's lips curved upward slightly. The faint shadow Sabrina had cast over her mood earlier had long since been chased away by the warmth filling the hall.
Jeremy seemed to sense her gaze and turned toward her. His dark eyes softened instantly, filled with a tenderness meant only for her.
He skillfully made his way through the crowd and naturally took the wine glass from her hand. He asked in a low voice, "Tired? Want to go sit in the lounge for a bit?"
Amelia shook her head and leaned closer to him, her tone light and relaxed. "Not at all. Being with all of you like this ... I'm too happy to feel tired."
Perhaps she was in an exceptionally good mood, but her words were uncharacteristically sweet.
She paused, looking at his perfectly styled hair and the deep gray suit that made him look even taller and more handsome. A flash of mischief danced in her eyes.
"Mr. Curran, you really outdid yourself with this party. I'll have to reward you properly later."
Jeremy raised an eyebrow and leaned in, his breath brushing her ear. "Oh? And how exactly do you plan to reward me? I find myself very much looking forward to it."
The heat of his breath and the clean, woody scent of his cologne made her cheeks flush. She gave him a playful, reproving shove, but he caught her hand and held it tight.
They shared a smile—a silent conversation of mutual affection that needed no words.
Not far away, Maxwell sneaked a photo and dropped it into the Nygards' group chat with the caption: "Look at these two again—being all lovey-dovey."
Ursula was the first to reply, sending a "relieved" emoji.
Thea followed right after with a pair of heart emojis, practically vibrating with excitement.
The group chat had originally been just the three brothers and their mother, Emery.
Raymond had been in the group, too—once. But he would never reply again.
Later, Thea had asked to join, and with Ursula also added, the group had grown to five people.
Or worse—wouldn't she think they used the group to talk about her behind her back?
For the first time in their lives, the brothers felt genuinely nervous.
The road to their sister's forgiveness was long and treacherous indeed.
"Let Aunt Thea do it. She'll be less likely to react badly if it comes from her."
In the end, as the eldest, Marcelo offered a compromise.
Everyone agreed that was the safest plan.
Thea hadn't even realized Amelia wasn't in the chat until her nephews brought it up.
And once she did, she didn't hesitate for a second—she added Amelia immediately.
Seeing her nephews finally sober up and work so hard to win their sister back gave her a sense of peace.
She hoped Raymond, looking down from above, would feel the same.
Amelia, who happened to be replying to a work message, suddenly received a notification, "You have been added to the group 'The Nygards–Happy Family.'"
She paused, mildly surprised. But this time, she didn't overthink it.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Heiress They Couldn't Break (Amelia and Jeremy)
I'm starting not to like Josie's character. If any man did all the things she's doing, they'd be considered creepy. This version of Josie is giving me the ick....
Does the novel ends in chapter 716 or is it still ongoing?...
Absolutely beautiful!...
Oh my! I really like Whitney (Jeremy's mum). She's so down to earth. She didn't even acknowledge Sabrina's presence....
I don't know what's with this new writer, but they are only making things worse. Gianna does in fact know how to ride a horse. She's had lessons and she even had a race with Amelia where she threw nails on the track to cheat. Gianna fell in the mud and was embarrassed when they pulled the cameras at a riding club owned by Jeremy....
Why did Cloudspire Estate change from a house to an apartment? Why is the writer acting like Jeremy does not own the property and he is not the one that allowed Amelia stay there? I hate when the writer does not remember what they wrote....
This is chapter 51 again when it should be chapter 52. Please fix for future readers....
New chapters please. If Amelia doesn’t end up with Jeremy I’m going to cry...
