Chapter 113
BRANDON’S POV
If someone told me a few months ago that I would sit in my house and tell Aria about Claire, I would have called them insane.
I never spoke about my wife. Not to friends. Not to business partners. Not to women I slept with afterward. I never ever felt moved to. That was my wife.
She was the one part of my life I buried completely because talking about her always felt like reopening a wound that never healed properly.
But somehow, Aria made me talk. And the kiss that followed shocked me even more.
I still could not fully process the fact that Aria kissed me first. Not out of pity. Not because she felt pressured. She just kissed me like she wanted to.
And when I kissed her back, everything inside me reacted immediately. The feeling of her against me. Her hands in my hair. The softness of her mouth.
It completely destroyed my self control. My dick was still hard and throbbing from the sensations I felt and I was sure that if we hadn’t been interrupted, if she had let me, I would have fucked her senseless.
Even now, after my guard interrupted us, my body still felt tense from it. The blush spreading across Aria’s cheeks after the guard interruped us made things even worse.
She looked embarrassed while avoiding my eyes, and somehow that only made her more attractive.
A dangerous warmth settled low in my stomach immediately and I exhaled slowly through my nose.
Damn.
I looked away briefly while adjusting my shirt slightly. My dick was still hard and Aria noticed the movement instantly and her face turned even redder.
That almost made me laugh. For a moment, neither of us spoke. The tension between us felt thick enough to touch.
Then reality ruined everything again. “My foster father?” I asked coldly.
“Yes, boss,” the guard answered nervously. I frowned immediately. Of all people, he was the last person I wanted to see tonight.
Especially after the last conversation we had. “Tell him to leave,” I said instantly.
The guard nodded quickly. “Understood.”
“Wait.” Aria’s voice stopped him before he could move.
I turned toward her immediately. “What?”
She looked at me carefully. “You can’t just send him away.”
“Yes, I can.”
“He came all the way here.”
ppp.
“I didn’t invite him.”
Her expression softened slightly. “Still, maybe it’s important.”
I scoffed quietly. “The only thing that man brings is stress.”
“Brandon.”

I rubbed my jaw slowly while staring at her. The truth was, I did not want that man anywhere near her after the disgusting things he said before.
But Aria kept looking at me patiently. Finally, I sighed heavily. “Fine.” The guard looked relieved immediately. “Let him in,” I muttered.
A few minutes later, the front door opened.
The moment my foster father stepped inside and saw Aria standing near me, his expression changed instantly. Contempt. Pure contempt. His eyes moved over her slowly before he looked back at me. “Interesting,” he said calmly.
My jaw tightened immediately. “Say what you came to say.”
Instead of answering me, he kept staring at Aria. “So this is the woman causing all this trouble.”
Aria stiffened slightly beside me. I stepped forward immediately. “Watch your mouth.”
But he ignored me completely. “I still don’t understand what you see in her.” The room became quiet instantly.
“You could marry any wealthy heiress in this country,” he continued calmly. “You could strengthen your empire permanently.” His gaze moved toward Aria again. “Instead, you’re attached to a liability.”
My expression darkened dangerously. “A woman surrounded by scandals,” he added coldly. “A woman who will only drain you.”
“That’s enough,” I said sharply.
Aria stayed quiet, but I could already see the discomfort in her face. “I won’t tolerate disrespect toward her in my house,” I continued coldly. “If you came here just to insult her, then leave.”
For the first time since arriving, he finally looked at me properly.
Then he sighed softly. “Relax. I didn’t come to stay.”
“Then what do you want?”
“I came with a proposal.” I already hated the sound of that. He glanced briefly toward Aria before looking back at me. “I want to speak with you, Brandon. Privately.”
I hesitated for a moment before turning toward Aria. “I’ll be back.” She nodded slowly.
I led him toward my study while irritation kept building inside me. The moment the door closed behind us, I turned toward him coldly,
“Talk. You have five minutes.”
He sat down calmly like he owned the place while I remained standing. “The proposal is simple,” he said,
“I’m listening.”
ppp.
“I will help you.”
1 frowned slightly. “Help me how?”
“With everything.” he answered smoothly. “Finding the people behind the accident. Expanding your business. Protecting your position in the market.”
I crossed my arms slowly. “And what do you want in return?”
A small smile appeared on his face immediately.
