The thought of Aria moaning out my name had pushed my thoughts over the edge. As I stared at her, her flushed cheeks, hands holding tight on the mug, I knew one thing.
I could lean in and kiss her and she wouldn’t even mind. That was just how flustered she was. But I couldn’t rush it. That’s why I had stepped back and smirked, telling her to be careful and that she was becoming a bad girl.
But when I entered my room, all decency flew out the window. I had stripped immediately, the heat of my body suppressing the fact that I was soaked with rain and shivering before.
I had entered the bathroom and my hands had closed around my duck immediately. It was already hard and throbbing and it called out to Aria. It wanted her. I wanted her.
But I couldn’t act on it, not now when she hasn’t fully accepted my feelings for her. So I pumped my dick in my hands the way I have been doing for years now and when I came, it was her name that left my lips.
When I heard Blake’s voice outside, I felt relieved. But when he told Aria she looked good a sudden wave of jealousy ran through me. He didn’t need to tell her that. It was meant for me.
She had gotten bored immediately when we switched to business talk and I was grateful when she excused herself and walked out. But I didn’t think Blake would be that careless with his words.
I wasn’t expecting that. Out of everything Blake could have walked in here for, jokes, drinks, pointless arguments, that was the last thing I thought he’d bring up.
Not here. Not in front of her. The moment the words left his mouth, I knew it was a mistake. And when Aria walked back in, I cursed inwardly. Her expression said it all. Confusion. Suspicion.
Too sharp for someone who was supposed to be kept out of this. “What were you talking about?” Her voice wasn’t soft this time.
It had weight. I held her gaze for a second, already deciding how this would go. “You have nothing to worry about,” I said calmly. “Blake and I, we were just talking about something. It’s nothing.”
Her brows pulled together slightly. “That didn’t sound like nothing, Julian. I heard my name and something about my father’s company. That didn’t sound like nothing at all. So tell me, what’s going on.”
“It is,” I replied. “Blake’s bluffing. He likes to exaggerate things. And you know that your father didn’t have any company. It’s a mix up. I’m sorry but it’s really nothing.”
Blake scoffed under his breath, but I ignored him.
My attention stayed on her. Aria didn’t look convinced. Of course she didn’t. She wasn’t naive.
That was one of the things I had noticed about her early on when we were children. She always paid too much attention. She connected things. And right now… she was connecting too much.

Still, after a moment, she exhaled quietly. “…Okay.”
It wasn’t an agreement. It was restraint. She glanced between us one more time, like she wanted to push further but didn’t.
Then she turned and walked away. The second she was out of sight, I looked at Blake. “What the hell was that?” My voice dropped. Cold.
Blake leaned back like he didn’t have a care in the world. “Relax. It’s not kike this is the end of the world. Besides, she dropped it so chill the fuck out.”
“Don’t tell me to relax,” I snapped. “Watch what you say around her.”
His expression shifted slightly. “She was going to find out eventually.”

“Yes, she was but I want it to be from me,” I said flatly. “Not from you.” A brief silence stretched between us. Blake studied me for a second before speaking again.
“You’re playing a dangerous game, Julian.”
“I know exactly what I’m doing.” I said and he scoffed.
“Do you?” he challenged. “Because from where I’m standing, you’re hesitating.”
My jaw tightened. “I told you,” I said slowly, “I’m not making a move unless the Morettis do.”
Blake let out a quiet laugh. “And you think they won’t?”
“They won’t,” I replied. “Not now.” I walked past him, pouring myself a drink before continuing. “They’re focused on Luca.”
Blake’s gaze sharpened slightly. “About that…”I paused. Something in his tone made me look back at him.
“What happened now?”
Blake didn’t rush his words this time. “He’s out.” I frowned.
“What?”
“I heard that he was discharged this morning.” The glass in my hand stilled. For a second, the room went quiet. Then I let out a low scoff.
“Of course he is. The bastard just couldn’t stay there. He just had to survive.”
Blake watched me carefully. “You know what that means.”
I took a slow sip before setting the glass down. “It means nothing.”
“Julian…”
“It means,” I cut in, “he’s going to do something stupid.” Blake didn’t argue that. Because we both knew it was

true. Luca wasn’t the type to let things go. Not after what happened. Not after I broke his jaw.
Blake crossed his arms. “And when he does?” A faint smile tugged at my lips. Cold. Unbothered.
