The IVF Secret That Shook a Dynasty novel Chapter 583

His tone made it sound as if the two of them had been completely taken for a ride.

Vivica understood exactly where he was coming from.

Many traditional medical doctors scoffed at alternative medicine, just as natural healers often viewed modern medical practices with equal skepticism.

"We saw him in Sydville City, Harvey. He really is highly respected," Vivica explained, quickly adding, "But of course, we still need to do the blood work and an ultrasound to confirm the baby's development."

"Absolutely!" Harvey nodded emphatically, turning back to his desk to write up the orders, still muttering under his breath. "Here I was thinking you were coming to me for fertility issues, rushing to start IVF or something, and now..."

"You were the one who told us we were perfectly healthy," Joseph pointed out. "There was no need to put Vivica through the stress of IVF."

Harvey shot him a sideways glance. "Oh, listen to you. Gloating already."

He wasn't even married yet, and his best friend was already working on baby number two.

It was infuriating!

Harvey quickly finished the paperwork and called his assistant over to hand it off.

Joseph naturally moved to accompany Vivica, but Harvey stopped him. "You don't need to tag along. The assistant will be right there with her. Your wife is in good hands."

Vivica didn't really want him hovering either; he had been acting so overly cautious lately that it was making her self-conscious.

"Just stay here and catch up with Harvey. I'll be perfectly fine with the nurse," she said, gently nudging her husband's arm to signal him to stay put.

"Alright, but call me if you need anything."

After giving his instructions, Joseph walked Vivica to the door and watched her until she was out of sight before turning back.

Watching his friend's absolute devotion, Harvey couldn't resist mercilessly teasing him. "What happened to the ruthless, untouchable corporate shark? Now you're acting like a total golden retriever. You're making the rest of us look bad!"

Joseph took a seat across from him. "Sounds like sour grapes to me."

Joseph lowered his eyes, saying nothing.

He knew full well that hiding the truth was a form of deception, a profound injustice to the woman he loved.

Maybe... when the time was right, he really would confess everything.

The two men naturally steered the conversation to the topic of Vivica's biological parents.

When Harvey heard the full story, his jaw practically hit the floor.

"That is insane. Finding them after all these years—she's unbelievably lucky. And the craziest part is that your wife is basically an heiress! Can you imagine her ex-husband's face when he finds out? He'll probably drop to his knees and weep."

The guy had literally thrown away a winning lottery ticket.

"It just proves that what goes around comes around," Joseph said. "He refused to be a decent human being, so the universe decided he didn't deserve to strike it rich."
