"No. Just in case it gets too late, I can have Clark go pick you up."
Hearing this, Nova pouted playfully. "Alright, got it."
She had hoped to drag Alaric along to enjoy the show, but he clearly couldn't care less.
Guess she was flying solo on this one.
By the time the day arrived, Nova had packed a couple of new swimsuits she'd recently bought.
Having been reborn, her mental age was far beyond that of a high school kid.
She wore cartoon pajamas and hugged childish stuffed animals at home so her parents wouldn't get suspicious.
But there was no way in hell she was going to wear a childish cartoon swimsuit in public. That would be pure social suicide.
The Crestwood Villa was nestled in the mountains on the outskirts of the city. Though it was called a villa, it was essentially a massive mansion with a sprawling courtyard.
The Donald family owned a similar retreat in the mountains, but they rarely visited it more than once a year. Over the years, they either rented it out or left it empty.
When Nova arrived, most of the class was already there. Sylvie was dressed in casual loungewear, acting as if she lived there full-time as she ushered her classmates into the living room.
"Make yourselves at home, guys. Don't be shy."
Tina and the others were absolutely floored by the sheer size of the mansion, momentarily struck speechless.
"Sylvie, your house is massive!"
"Seriously! You don't live here normally? This is way too extravagant!"
The crowd continuously gasped in awe.
Even though many of the kids in the A-Track Class came from money, the most they had were high-end apartments or modest suburban houses. Compared to the Suttons' supposed wealth, it was nothing.
Sylvie just smiled knowingly, saying nothing.
"By the way, Sylvie, where's Caleb? Why didn't he come with you?"
The other girls had tagged along not just to see the massive villa, but to get a glimpse of Caleb outside of school.
