She gestured, and the silver light expanded, surrounding every wolf in the chamber.

“Every artificial bond in this room, every manufactured connection, every corrupted tie, I now sever.” Power pulsed outward. “And every wolf here will feel what true freedom means.”

The chamber erupted in gasps and cries as bonds snapped. I watched Damien double over, finally feeling the loss of what had never been real. Watched several other wolves stagger as connections dissolved.

“Now,” the Moon Goddess continued, “you will rebuild. Not with bonds forced on the unwilling, not with hierarchy that crushes the vulnerable, but with true partnership. True choice.” She looked at me. “And this daughter will show you how.””

“No.” Aldric stood, defiant. “I won’t accept this. The Council has maintained order for centuries. One girl cannot…”

The Moon Goddess moved faster than light. Suddenly, she was in front of Aldric, her hand on his chest.

“You killed my daughters. You corrupted my gifts. You have forgotten that I am not merciful.” Silver light blazed. “I revoke your wolf. You will live the rest of your days as human, powerless, a reminder that those who abuse my gifts lose them.”

Aldric screamed as his wolf was ripped away. He collapsed, and the sound that came from him was purely

human. Broken.

The Moon Goddess turned to the remaining Council members.

“Choose now. Continue as you have and face my judgment. Or bow to this daughter and learn what true leadership means.”

One by one, the Council members knelt before me.

All except one.

Council Member Brennan stood, trembling but defiant. “I cannot. I will not bow to a Ļuna

who…”

“Then you too will learn what it means to lose your gift.” The Moon Goddess moved toward him.

“Wait.” I stepped forward. “Don’t take his wolf.”

Everyone stared at me.

“He’s rigid and traditional, but he’s not corrupt. He genuinely believes in the hierarchy.” I looked at Brennan “Give him a chance to learn. To change.”

The Moon Goddess studied me. “You would show mercy to those who judged you?”

“I would show them I’m better than they are.” I met Brennan’s eyes. “Kneel or don’t. But know that if you

stand against me, you stand against every omega, every abused wolf, every woman told she’s worth less than her mate. Is that really the legacy you want?”

Brennan looked at Aldric, powerless and broken on the floor. Then back at me.

Slowly, he knelt.

The Moon Goddess smiled. “Wise choice.” She turned back to me. “Your power will fully manifest on your birthday, eleven days from now. Use it well, my daughter.”

“I will.”

“And Sera? The man watching you from the observer’s section, the hybrid with ice blue eyes.” She glanced at Adrian. “He is your true mate. The bond will form naturally, without my intervention, when you’re ready. Don’t let fear keep you from it.”

Heat flooded my face. “I… yes, my Goddess.”

“Good.” She began to fade, silver light dissolving. “Make me proud, daughter. Show them what a Luna with

true power can accomplish.”

She was gone.

The chamber remained silent for a long moment.

Then Sophie Chen’s voice rang out from where she stood with her mother in the observer section.

“Long live Luna Sera! True Luna of the Crescent Moon!”

The cry was taken up by others. Omega families. Young wolves. Even some of the traditional families are

caught up in the moment.

“Long live Luna Sera!”

I stood in the center of it all, silver light still flickering around me, and met Damien’s eyes across the room.

He looked shattered. Lost. Like he’d just watched his entire world dissolve.

Which, I supposed, he had.

“This Council session is adjourned,” I said, my voice carrying authority I’d never had before. “We reconvene in one week to discuss restructuring the pack hierarchy. All voices will be heard. Ati ranks will participate.”

I walked out of the chamber with my head high, Marcus and Lucas flanking me, Katherine and Elena

following.

Adrian fell into step beside me in the hallway.

“That was…” he paused, searching for words. “Magnificent.”

“That was terrifying.”

“You didn’t look terrified. You looked like a goddess yourself.” He smiled. “My mother was right about you.”

“She usually is.” I stopped, turning to face him. “The Moon Goddess said we’re true mates.”

“I heard.” His expression was carefully neutral. “How do you feel about that?”

Ask me in eleven days. After my birthday. After all this settles.” I managed a smile. “But Adrian? I’m not opposed to the idea.”

His smile was brilliant. “Good. Because neither am I.”
