Lucia rubbed her temples, a headache forming.

"Is there a way to get a message to him? I will wait for him at the palace gates. It won't take much of his time."

She just needed to get close and absorb a few breaths of his aura.

Technically, he owed her this.

If she hadn't gone into the palace yesterday to save him and preserve a sliver of the old king's life force, she wouldn't be this agonizingly weak right now.

Celia and Bonnie exchanged glances.

They were incredibly curious as to why Lucia absolutely had to see the prince at this exact moment. But neither dared to ask.

"The Prince's Estate will certainly have a way," Celia said. Even if the prince was inside the royal palace, his estate would definitely have couriers capable of delivering a message.

"Celia, go to his estate and have them send word. Bonnie and I will prepare and go wait by the palace gates."

"My lady, let me carry that," Bonnie offered, reaching for the bundle. How could she let her lady haul such a sinister object?

But Lucia sidestepped her.

"It isn't safe for you to hold."

Clutching the carving, she headed outside.

Bonnie froze for a moment before rushing to keep up.
