The Mad Princess and the Dying Prince novel Chapter 90

"Lady Lucia?"

"The girl who told you to seek me out. You said you gave her a ride in your carriage."

So that was Lady Lucia?

Lady Forrester hurriedly repeated every word the girl had told her.

She looked nervously at the physician. "Is this Lady Lucia also a healer? Is she your apprentice?"

Taking on a female apprentice wouldn't be entirely unheard of for an eccentric old master.

But upon hearing this, Finch's beard trembled, and he waved his hands wildly.

"How could that be? I am completely unworthy to be her master!"

It seemed Lady Lucia hadn't said much in the carriage. Perhaps because she hadn't laid eyes on Eleonora herself?

Finch pondered this, not daring to take it upon himself to send Lady Forrester directly to Lucia's doorstep.

He wrote out the instructions for the tonic, ordered a servant to gather the ingredients, and then carefully drew some of Eleonora's blood to relieve her failing veins. He informed them this procedure would need to be repeated for three days.

Leaving House Forrester, Finch could no longer contain himself. He made straight for Beaumont Manor.

Back at Beaumont Manor, the steward, Old Man Strong, was on the verge of madness.

He had dragged his son across the Royal Capital to see every healer in the city, yet not a single one could cure Hank's arm.

Hank had screamed himself hoarse over the past two days. The excruciating pain in his arm never ceased, causing him to wail day and night. Yet, physically, there was nothing wrong with it. Not a single bruise, scratch, or break. Hank insisted he hadn't twisted it, scraped it, or been struck in a brawl. The ordeal had utterly exhausted the old steward.

A guard from the gates ran in to report that Physician Finch had arrived, requesting an audience with the second Beaumont daughter.

"He has returned?" Old Man Strong leapt to his feet. "That is Physician Finch!"

The greatest healer in the realm!

He let out a desperate yell and sprinted toward the entrance.

Finch was ushered into the main hall by the frantic steward, frowning as the man eagerly fetched a cup of warm wine for him.

"I am here to see Lady Lucia."
