Fight for Survival II

“Where is Youssef?”

Her voice came out broken.

Ophelia didn’t answer.

Iva pulled against the restraints.

“Where is my son?”

Silence.

“What have you done to him?”

Ophelia’s expression didn’t change.

“Where is Youssef?”

Still nothing.

Iva’s fear transformed into desperation as she shouted again.

“WHERE IS MY SON?”

Her scream echoed through the room.

Ophelia slowly looked at her.

“You are not in any position to ask questions.”

Iva stared at her in disbelief.

“My son-”

“You truly disappointed us.”

The words were delivered so calmly that they frightened Iva more than a scream would have.

“What?”

“I cannot believe it.”

Ophelia turned away from the table and walked toward another metal table positioned against the wall.

“You kept your true colors hidden so well. Right under our noses… we fed you… we dressed you… you nursed you to health… and you… you are a creature.”

Iva’s breathing became shallow.

“You controlled your self-healing.”

She picked up an medical instrument.

<Fight for Survival

Examined it.

Placed it carefully on the table.

“You made yourself took normal.”

Another instrument.

“You acted like a human.”/

Another.

“You blended into their world.”

Iva watched her hands.

Her stomach tightened.

“I don’t understand.”

Ophelia finally looked back at her.

“We have never met a wolf like you.”

Iva’s face went pale.

A wolf.

The word should have meant something.

It should have awakened something inside her.

Instead, there was only emptiness.

She had lost her memories.

She had lost her wolf.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Ophelia smiled faintly.

“Of course you don’t.”

She turned back to the instruments.

“You have been very good at pretending.”

Iva’s eyes followed her.

Then she saw what the nun was arranging.

Metal instruments.

Scalpels.

Knives.

Surgical tools.

One after another, Ophelia placed them neatly across the table.

Iva’s blood ran cold.

Her breathing quickened./

The sight reminded her of something horribly familiar, something from a television show she had once seen where a killer meticulously prepared his instruments before dissecting his victims.

It looked like an episode of Dexter.

Except this wasn’t television.

There was no screen separating her from what was happening.

She was the person lying on the table.

“What are you doing with those?”

Iva tried desperately to keep her voice steady.

It failed.

The tremble was obvious.

Ophelia noticed..

“We need to analyze you.”

Iva swallowed.

“Analyze me?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because we need to understand what type of wolf you are.”

Iva stared at her.

Ophelia continued arranging the instruments.

“Wolves are extremely difficult to capture alive.”

She picked up one of the scalpels.

Iva flinched.

“So when we find one…”

Ophelia placed it down.

we cannot afford to waste the opportunity.”

tva’s heart began pounding.

The nun looked at her

“You are an interesting specimen”

Iva shook her head.

“I’m not a specimen.”

Ophelia didn’t respond.

Cisim

“We need to understand how your body works,” she continued. “Your healing. Your ability to suppress your nature. Your ability to blend among humans without being discovered.”

Iva’s eyes filled with tears.

“Where is Youssef?”

Ophelia stopped.

Iva’s voice cracked.

“Please.”

Nothing.

“Please tell me where my son is.”

Ophelia watched her for a moment.

Then she said quietly,

“It is fortunate that we have two.”

Iva froze.

The world seemed to stop.

“Two?”

Ophelia said nothing more.

Iva stared at her.

Then the meaning struck her as her face drained of color.

“No.”

Her voice was barely audible.

Ophelia remained silent.

“No.”

Fight for Supertali

Iva began shaking her head.

You mean…”

Her lips trembled.

“The second one…”

She couldn’t finish.

She already knew.

“My son?”

Ophelia didn’t answer but she didn’t need to.

Iva screamed.

“No!”

She threw her entire body against the restraints.

“NO!”

The table rattled beneath her.

“My son!”

She pulled until her wrists burned.

“WHERE IS HE?”

Her voice broke completely.

“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HIM?”

Ophelia watched her without emotion.

Iva began crying.

Not quietly.

Not gracefully.

www

She sobbed with the kind of desperation that came from realizing that the person you loved most in the world was somewhere close enough to be hurt but too far away for you to protect.

“He’s my son.”

Ophelia remained cold.

“He’s just a child. He is innocent.”

Still nothing.

“Please.”

Iva’s voice broke.

“Do whatever you want to me. Just let him survive..”

She looked toward the scalpels,

Tears streamed down her face.

“Just don’t touch him.”

Ophelia walked closer.

“The fact that we have two wolves in our hands is an opportunity.”

Iva screamed again.

“You can’t!”

She fought harder.

“YOU CAN’T DO THIS!”

For one moment, she thought she felt something inside herself.

Something deep.

Something ancient.

Something furious.

But when she reached for it, there was nothing.

Only emptiness.

Only silence.

Her wolf was gone.

Whatever power she had once possessed was gone.

Her memories were gone.

And now the only person she had left was Youssef.

“Please…”

Her voice became a whisper.

“Please don’t hurt my son.”

Ophelia looked at her.

Then at the instruments.

Then back at Iva.

“Don’t fight it.”

tva stared at her.

The nun’s voice became almost gentle.

“And I will give you a clean ending.”

Iva’s entire body went cold.

A clean ending.

She understood what those words meant.

Iva’s screams died in her throat.

But suddenly, something unexpected happened.

Rauno had burst through the door, his face pale with panic, his voice raw with urgency.

“Abandon everything!” he shouted at Sister Ophelia. “We’re under attack! They’re everywhere-”

He didn’t get to finish the sentence.

A massive force slammed into him from the side, hurling him across the room like a rag doll. His body crashed against the stone wall with a sickening crack, and he crumpled to the floor, unconscious.

Iva’s blood turned to ice.

She stared at the figure that now stood in the doorway, her mind struggling to process what she was seeing.

It was a monster.

Huge. Towering. Covered in dark fur that bristled with menace. Its muscles rippled with raw power, its claws gleamed like polished obsidian, and its eyes-those eyes-burned with a fierce, ancient light that seemed to pierce straight through her soul.

A Lycan.

Clater

The Lycan’s gaze swept across the room, taking in the scene in an instant. Its eyes landed on Iva, strapped to the table, her body trembling with fear.

For a moment, something flickered in its expression.

Then it moved.

With a speed that defied its size, the Lycan crossed the room. Its claws sliced through the restraints binding her wrists and ankles with surgical precision, and in one fluid motion, it scooped her into its powerful arms.

Iva screamed, thrashing against its grip, her fists pounding uselessly against its chest.

“Let me go! Let me go!” she shrieked.Iva didn’t stop fighting.

<Fight for Surement

She couldn’t.

She was being carried away by a monster!
