The Moment I Stepped Into His World as the Fake Girlfriend, I Became the Real Prize novel Chapter 120

But he accidentally bumped her injured hand, dragging a sharp cry of pain from her lips even in her sleep.

Sterling took a ragged breath. He violently ripped his own quilt off and threw it completely over her, burying her thoroughly from head to toe.

Whatever. She had already crawled into his bed and fallen asleep.

Even if he kicked her out now, the damage was done.

Screw it. He'd just have the maids strip the bed and replace every sheet, blanket, and pillowcase she had touched.

"Nothing but trouble!"

The young man cursed under his breath. Taking a deep gulp of air, he swung his legs off the bed and stormed straight into the bathroom.

Splash—

He didn't bother turning on the lights. He just twisted the shower handle, intentionally blasting the water on ice-cold.

His jaw clenched so tight it ached as he braced one hand against the tiled wall, slowly closing his eyes.

The freezing water hammered against the young man's rigid muscles, doing absolutely nothing to extinguish the raging fire in his veins.

Instead, the girl's teasing smile and breathless voice echoed relentlessly through his mind.

The pure, seductive pull she had over him was impossible to shake.

Sterling's face flushed a deep crimson. He shook his head aggressively, silently commanding himself to stop entertaining such filthy thoughts, desperate for release.

Yet, the more anxious he got, the worse it became.

By the time he finally stepped out of the bathroom, nearly an hour had passed.

Staring darkly at the girl sleeping in his bed, Sterling refused to lie back down. Instead, he dragged a chair into the corner, slumped into it, and exhausted himself waiting for the sun to rise.

Elena woke up in a groggy haze. Just as she moved to rub her eyes, she bumped the gauze wrapped around her hand.

"Hiss—"

The sharp sting shocked her completely awake, and she slowly pushed herself up, blinking away the sleep.

The first thing she noticed was how cold she was. She looked down and realized she was practically wearing nothing.

She must have subconsciously kicked the bathrobe off in her sleep because it was too uncomfortable.

Thank god she was sleeping on the floor and not next to Sterling, otherwise she'd never be able to explain this away.

Wait...

It suddenly dawned on Elena that the mattress underneath her was far too soft to be the floor. She was in the bed!!!
