The Moment I Stepped Into His World as the Fake Girlfriend, I Became the Real Prize novel Chapter 16

Sterling teased him. Xavier forced a stiff smile, his lips twitching barely.

At that moment, Elena lifted her head from his chest, her pouting and whining incredibly natural. “Sterling, I’m getting sleepy. Let’s go into the room and sleep.”

Instantly, Sterling stiffened again.

It wasn't until this moment that he truly saw what the girl looked like fresh out of the shower.

Earlier, in her fiery red dress with exquisite, bright makeup, she was as stunning as a blooming rose.

Her breathtaking beauty was the kind that made you know she was a lethal poison, yet you'd willingly drink it.

Now, stripped of makeup, she revealed a luminous, flawless complexion. Her damp hair cascaded down, paired with the white bathrobe, giving her an aura of pure innocence—like a completely different person.

Thinking about sharing a room with a girl like this, Sterling felt his freshly-showered body suddenly flare with heat.

Remembering the naughty thoughts he’d had while washing up, his face flushed thoroughly red.

Was he even going to be able to sleep tonight?

“Then, Xavier, we’ll head into the room first.”

“Oh! Silly me, I just remembered I forgot to bring something! Since Mr. Hawthorne is here, why don't we borrow one from him?”

Before Sterling could finish his sentence to his brother, the girl suddenly let out a soft gasp.

Under Sterling's confused gaze, she tilted her small face up. The light caught in her eyes, making them look like shattered stars.

He was dazzled for a second and didn't notice the mischievous, wicked glint in her smile. “Borrow what?”

“A condom, of course! Who told you to be so needy every night! Sterling, I’m too shy to ask. You ask Mr. Hawthorne.”

She claimed to be too shy, but she didn't lower her voice in the slightest. It was loud enough for Xavier to hear every single word perfectly.

Sterling suddenly felt like he had totally gotten his money's worth. Hiring Elena was the right choice!

At this rate, it wouldn't be long before his brother couldn't stand the sight of Elena. After that, he’d probably accept anyone as long as it wasn't her.

The more unbearable Elena appeared, the more flawless and beautiful his crush would seem by comparison!

“Xavier, don't mind her. Elena has always been this blunt. It’s what I love about her.”

As if that wasn't enough, Sterling defended her on the surface while secretly adding fuel to the fire.

Xavier’s eyes darkened ominously. His knuckles cracked as he squeezed his fists, his chest aching with suppressed rage.

“Wait.”

Watching helplessly as his brother wrapped an arm around the girl to lead her into the bedroom, he finally spoke up.
