Leon Lester, Liam Lennox, and Jasper Jenson—Sterling's inner circle—stood at the edge of the crowd, also waiting for him to make an appearance.
"The school belle is here!"
At that moment, Lydia, who had come downstairs a step later, appeared in everyone's line of sight.
Seeing her, the crowd instinctively parted, clearing a direct path for her toward the Rolls-Royce.
Lydia casually tossed her long hair over her shoulder and walked through the onlookers, heading straight for Sasha.
"Sterling, why aren't you saying anything?"
Sasha was growing anxious and couldn't resist reaching for the door handle.
But in the next second, the tinted window slowly rolled down, revealing Sterling's sharp profile.
Sasha's gaze locked onto his face before a bright smile bloomed across hers. "Sterling, Lydia was so wronged. You have to make them apologize today..."
"She was wronged, but what does that have to do with my boyfriend?"
Before she could finish, an unfamiliar female voice echoed from inside the car, cutting her off with casual disregard.
The voice was slightly spoiled, a little petulant, and dripping with a lazy seduction that seemed to hook right into the listener's chest, leaving a lingering itch.
No one was more shocked than Sasha. Standing right by the window, she could see what the rest of the crowd could only hear—a girl was actually sprawled across Sterling's lap!
Instantly, her eyes went wide. She lost her voice, standing there in stunned silence for a long time.
The crowd mirrored her disbelief. After a brief moment of shock, all eyes darted toward Lydia.
When she heard the voice, Lydia's footsteps faltered for a fraction of a second, a flicker of sheer bewilderment crossing her elegant features.
But she quickly regained her composure and continued walking toward Sasha, seemingly completely unfazed.
"Lydia..."
In stark contrast, the moment Sterling caught sight of her, his already rigid body tensed even further.
Instinctively, he tried to push Elena away, but she simply looped her arms around his neck and pulled herself up, practically draping herself over him in an undeniable display of extreme intimacy.
In that split second, he suddenly wasn't sure if bringing Elena here had been a massive mistake.
"Sterling, tell me, who is this woman?"
Sasha finally snapped out of her daze, absolutely furious. Anyone watching would have thought she was the one who just caught her boyfriend cheating.
