The Officer's Runaway Wife & Secret Son novel Chapter 291

November 20th.

The Bridges family's backyard was filled with balloons and flowers.

Blue hydrangeas and bellflowers were mixed with white roses, which luckily matched Felix's ocean-themed party.

Clara's dad had set up a barbecue grill in the corner of the yard. More than half of the kids from kindergarten were there, running wild while their parents mingled with Cameron Thorne, Grace Sterling, and the others. Dozens of people packed the yard to the brim.

Felix was dressed in a little white suit with a blue bow tie. Simon Walker had styled his hair, sweeping it back to reveal his bright, clear face.

"Felix looks so healthy," Grace said with a smile, watching the children run and play in the distance. "I still remember what he looked like when he was just born. It felt like only yesterday he was a newborn. In the blink of an eye, he's gotten so big he's leading the pack."

Clara's eyes softened with a smile. "It's all thanks to you and Noah Carter's help back then. You've worried so much over the years."

"Noah is very meticulous," Grace said. "He's truly wonderful with Felix. Remember to show me the report from his next check-up."

Clara nodded. "Of course, I've kept them all."

Across the yard, Noah was handing out drinks. A child running too fast bumped into his leg. He bent down, steadied the little one, and pulled a gummy candy from his pocket.

He then casually ruffled Felix's hair. "Don't just play. You're the host, you need to entertain your guests."

Felix's little face was serious. "I already told Jaxon that if he dares to snatch Mira's toy again, I won't give him any cake."

"So strict? Jaxon was staring at that cake for a long time. Can't you make an exception?"

Felix shook his head. "No. Those are the rules. This is my party, and we can't have chaos. It wouldn't look good."

Noah gestured grandly. "Alright, little boss. As you wish."

Felix turned and ran off, quickly disappearing into the chattering crowd of children.

Clara walked over and handed Noah a glass of water. "I saw those parents swarming you with questions earlier. Were they treating you like a free consultation again?"

Noah took the glass and looked down at her. "It's fine, just a bit of casual chat. But what about you? You've been in heels all day. Are your feet sore? Do you want to change into flats?"
