The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha (by Kylie) novel Chapter 148

JASON POV

So, I just received news that Ezra is back at their pack. Which means, they want to meet up again.

I know how to sneak in and out of this base because I’ve been doing it for years. Even if there are double the guards. I know that I can still make it out. That’s not what worries me.

I was scared enough just meeting up with Morgan. What the hell is going to happen with Ezra there. I mean, he’s a lot bigger than me and scary.

I know that we are trained to kill them. But I am not taking weapons with me because I don’t want them to think that I’m a threat and we need to make sure that we have an understanding that our only concern is Lilly. We need to get her out of there. Away from Williams and away from Hayes.

But I am terrified about meeting up with Ezra. I don’t know what he’s going to be like. I mean, this is his little girl that was kidnapped and I’m not actually bringing her to him.

Firstly, she’d never come with me and if she did, she’d probably try and shoot them. She wouldn’t hear them out.

Secondly, it’s a lot harder to sneak two people out of the base.

But as soon as I was ready, I made my way out of the dorm building and through the compound until I ended up in the forest without anyone seeing me or stopping me.

That was always the easy part. But now I needed to navigate my way through the forest to a car that I had stashed on a dirt road.

It took me an hour to get to that road because I didn't want it to be close to the base. If it was then the soldiers would find it and they would think that it shouldn’t be there and impound it or something like that.

I needed a way to get around. Especially now.

I drove to the same area as I did last time and I went to the same meeting spot.

I was only there for a couple of minutes when I heard someone behind me so I turned around and Morgan and Ezra were both standing there.

I could never understand how people that big could move around so quietly. And standing next to Ezra, I felt like a midget. Even though I’m 6 foot 1 and 200 pounds of muscle.

He was bigger. With much bigger muscles.

“You know where my daughter is?” Ezra asked.

“Yeah. We’ve known each other for a couple of years now.” I said.

“You told my wife that she’s in danger. What sort of danger?” Ezra asked.

“She’s being abused and it’s not going to stop until she gets out of there. But they have her listed as a lifter. Which means, even when she turns 18, they aren’t letting her leave. She’s with the supernatural hunters for the rest of her life.” I explained.

“How is she being abused?” Morgan asked.

“What’s not to love. You’ll see.” I said.

“If she’s anything like her mother then I can believe it.” Ezra said.

“I don’t really know how you guys are going to get into the base though.” I said.

“Let us worry about that. It’s what we do. It’s what we know. And we’ve been doing it longer than you.” Morgan said. And I nodded my head.

“I know. You two are legendary. Whenever we’re training they always try to train us so that we’re good enough to take you two out.” I said. And they looked at each other again.

“Good luck with that.” Ezra smirked.

“You may have a base full of soldiers. But guess what, human’s loyalty can wane. Look at you. But when you’re part of a pack, our loyalty doesn’t wane. Our loyalty is everything. We don’t have people in a pack that won’t follow their Alpha into battle.” Morgan explained.

“I’ve heard about the bond of a werewolf pack. The warriors know a lot about werewolves and they try to get us ready for whatever we might encounter.” I said.

“You people have no idea who you are dealing with. But believe me, your captain and that bastard Hayes, is definitely going to find out.” Ezra said.

“They made a mistake messing with our family.” Morgan added. And I instantly knew that there was going to be a lot of bloodshed that I could be responsible for. But I had to keep reminding myself that Williams and Hayes have brought this on themselves. I’m not sure if Williams was behind kidnapping their daughter, but he’s been keeping her hidden for as long as I can remember.
